Here are a few images I took of two of the lower leaves I removed to better view what was happening, I took images of both the front and back of the leaves.

Im liking the led pretty well, my last grow I managed to pull 3 ounces of c99 with no sort of training being done (besides a few odd topping here and there) and growing in dirt. Im hoping to do better this time with main lining and using DWC.

After switching to full strength nutes, growth absolutely exploded the root mass is simply enormous covering the bottom of the bucket and vegetative growth is incredibly vigorous, Also ive noticed new leaves have practically none of the rusty browning marks like the older ones suffered, nonetheless ive purchased some calmag and added it along with allot more bondage to spread her growth out more.

Good stuff mate, I pulled pin and ordered one the other day, it's in transit as we speak, really looking forward to using after hearing this :)
Even better that your girl is doing well now, after seeing your pics and reading more about calmag issues with LED, i think you were on the money, sorry if I confused the issue hey. Happy to see her booming now!!

Just started flowering on Wednesday night (9-16-2015), did a reservoir change with full strength bloom nutes and cal mag, also put timer on light for 12/12.

This is how shes looking thus far, I am noticing a very slight browning on the very tips of a few of the leaves not sure what it is precisely but it doesn't look at all bad.

The central stalk has gotten quite thick and nice looking as well.

Looking great man, much better now!!
The brown tips is nutrient burn, you'll need to flush and go back to about 75% strength nutes.

Since Wednesday shes drank over a gallon so i topped off with plain water today which should dilute things quite a bit.

So ive spread her out slightly more with the use of soft wire ties and that should complete my training of her. I am wondering though if it was wise to put her into flowering when I did maybe I should have waited a week or so more. Any feedback?

She has 16 tops currently with all auxiliary shoots (growth tips) removed except the top most ones giving a total of 32 auxiliary shoots with a new stem an newly forming auxiliary shoots forming out of each.

Im somewhat ignorant on the exact process of how buds are formed on the plant, for instance if I let the 16 tops grow taller how significant would the increase in yield be. I assume that allowing them to grow taller would increase the number of nodes and thus increase the number of bud sites. For my purpose I am only interested in creating several very large bud sites (which is why i main lined).

However whenever I look at pictures of main lined plants it seems even though there are only a certain number of tops there are several inter nodal sites.

So far she only has had 2 days of dark cycle on her 12/12 so far, would it be okay if I brought her back into a vegetative schedules for another week or two to let her grow a bit taller?

That plant will at least double, maybe triple in size mate, you still have heaps of room to move so it's up to you if you want to go back to veg for another week or so. It shouldn't hurt it if its only been a few days.
Usually with mainlining, you wait until it gets to about 5 nodes high then take off the top 4 nodes, then wait until they get to 4 to 5 nodes and do the same, taking away the under growth as you go. From your pics, it looks like there is a lot of side branching going on which won't hurt, you just may end up with some popcorn buds where the light doesn't get to.
If you let the 16 tops go the buds will form all the way up to the top and form colas, that is if there are no side branches coming out along the stem.

All the side branching are just fan leaves, I thought id leave them just to pick up whatever light the upper ones miss.

I first topped at the 5th node and removed all branching under it leaving just two growth tips, once those tips developed I topped for a second time now having a total of 4 growth tips I did this until I had a total of 18 growth tips and only 16. Once the new stem started growing from the 16 tips instead of topping I removed all the new growth tips (32 total) so the stems could grow taller without having unnecessary side growth. This is where I am at the moment now with 32 growth tips and 16 main stalks.

Heres a sketch on how the structure is like, each of the circles represent a node, the last branches on the sketch are 2 new growth tips along with the unstopped main stalk. Each of the nodes shown in the sketch also have 2 fan leaves per. The numbers represent the topping.

If I leave the plant in flowering I know she stretches but will she continue to grow new nodes?

Cool mate, you started the mainlining but got a bit sidetracked I think, still looks good though and will work fine, they way you have done it would work really well in a scrog.
Once they go into flower they dont grow new nodes, they just stretch and form buds on the nodes that are already present.

I have a question about growth tips and bud sites. At every node 2 fan leaves and 2 growth tips are produced. When plant enters flowering bud sites begin to develop at nodes where growth tips and fan leaves are.

My question is if growth tips are remove during veg will bud sites still develop.

I included a picture to help with my question, the green star like things are fan leaves and the pink lightning bolts are bud sites.

So if the growth tips are removed by cutting them where the red line is shown during veg will a bud site still develop at that node?

Here is a better image of what each of the individual top look like the first node (solid green diamonds) you see I removed the growth tips, the next 4 nodes the growth tips remained and began to grow into new side branching. The top node represents the top of the plant with new growth tips and fan leaves forming. The green stars represent the fan leaves, the lime green circles represent the location where buds can grow.

Now for my question, the first two bud locations I have a question mark, this is because I am unsure if buds will form there since I removed the growth tips. My second question is the main one, If i remove the growth tips I have marked with the red line will buds still grow on the nodes the growth tips were removed from?

no, and you should leave a few nodes worth of growth because ultimately, if kept close, these will form one single cola
Thank you, now its only a mater of deciding how many nodes with growth on I should wait for (currently 4+top) there to be before entering flowering.
