Hey guys my crops been drying outside in the garage (insulated) for 2 full days. I did some rough trimming of the big leaves but have not really went to work on the buds yet. When should I do the finishing touches? Should I use a paper bag after drying the buds in the garage?

Dry the buds in the garage until the stem cracks when bent, or almost cracks, whichever. Then place in glass mason jars, with lids open for a night. The next day, move buds around and then close the lid. Burp (open the lid) daily for ten to fifteen seconds, just to let out moisture. Oh, first trim the sugar leaves and leave only bud, then do steps above. After about two weeks of burping the buds the smell will change from hay-like to stanky!! I don't use the paper bags anymore.

You can smoke it after hanging for about four to five days but it will burn wet, and not taste the best. Curing in jars allows the smell to come to fruition by allowing the bud to dry slowly. Keep the jars in a cool, dry place, and NO LIGHT EVER! Light degrades the trichomes and thc content faster than anything. I have found the best taste is after curing in mason jars, so do it!! You can find them at any supermarket or hardware store. Buy the wide-mouth jars so it's easier to get the sticky buds out! Hope this helps, or you could read the sticky at the top of Harvesting and Curing thread!
