- Cupboard CFL grow (2x 48w 5000k) for now untill i need more and no i dont want to use HID 'yet' so don't suggest it.
- Cupboard is self watering, waters 3 times a day as i don't have much time.
- No extraction fan yet, waiting for it to arrive.
- Only 1 seed growing at the moment (2 weeks since germination) that was left over from last years outdoor grow, will post pic's of that later.
- Growing in a 25% vermiculite, 75% perlite mix.
- Am waiting for clones to come through in the next few weeks.
- Grow area stays at around 28 degrees.
- Will be working on the cupboard over the next few weeks so expect it to change a bit, any questions just ask.

Let me no what u think, hope you enjoy!

With the 125w CFL are you referring to the equivalent incandescent wattage? Like I have a large 48w 3000K & 24w 5000K plus twin tube fluros for flowering 1 plant. But the 48w is = to 240w ind. Is that what you guys quote here? As I havent seen a higher rated cfl in Oz yet.

By the way, nice setup and well hidden. I notice you use white material. Is that better or similar to reflective material like foil?

Hey,
Thanks for the comment.
Am using 2x 48w CFL's (for now) and the wattage is the rated wattage of the lamp not the equivalent incandescent wattage. If u hit up bunnings or any store like that the biggest you will find is 48w but you can get the 125w envirolite globes off the net or from any grow shop.
Yeah the white material is pvc sheeting, white on one side, black on the other, helps reflect the light, dont no if its better but it does the job.

Sounds like you're from my neck of the woods too. Will check online for them. at 125w cfl that would be 650w ind. Not a bad light. Thanks for the info.

Coming along very nice. Plenty of new growth.
PH is at 6.8, going to have to lower it a bit, max temp 30.3 degrees, min 22.7 degrees.
Increased light cycle from 18/6 to 24h a day mainly to keep the temp up in cupboard, was dropping as low as 10 degrees at night when the lights were off.
Changed watering to 4 times a day instead of 3.
Will be adding the extraction fan this week, still has not arrived and will be adding a heater to the res as well.

Day 20 i think...
Fan arrived just as i sat down to write this so that will be going in this arvo, just gotta wire the bastard up. Everything's going good with the plant no problems yet, am starting to think i am going to need more lights soon.
I am growing this plant to be a mother for my clones, hope its a girl.
Pic 1, 2 & 3 i took today, pic 4 and 5 are from my outdoor grow last year. Had 2 plants this size and got around 4oz dry so was a pretty good turnout.
What u all think?

Hey looks likes its going fine. With your last year grow what size was that pot? It looks small.

Mine is 1 1/2 weeks into 12/12......no flowers yet but it shot up from 12 to 15 inches in a 18L pot in that period. Just wondering if dope plants get pot bound or not. Doesnt seem so from the small size of some pots I see here.

Btw dont worry about 10C at night. Maybe your overdoing/worrying about it. These plants are weeds after all. :weed: Just dont let them get frost but it wont happen indoors. Plus saves you electricity costs for lighting.....doing your bit for the environment
yadda yadda yadda :bigjoint:

Also arent you over watering them? I water every 2nd day. Let top 1-2cm of soil get dry. You can get a good ph/light/moisture gauge from Bunnings for just over $20. Lets you know how wet it really is a few inches under...so dont overdo it and they'll be fine. Toughen the little buggers up. hehe

Day 35 update
Have not posted in a while, i have been flat out but everything with the grow is going good.
I fitted the computer fan in the top corner of the grow area which i wired to a phone charger and had to take out a shelf to get some more height, taking the shelf out doubled my grow space.
Topped the plant after the 6th node.
I bought a shade and new CFL grow light, its a 130w, 2700k spectrum grow lamp.
I changed to 12/12 5 days ago, took 3 clones and re-poted the plant in to a bigger pot.
So now im on 12/12 im running 1x130w 2700k CFL and 2x28w 2700k CFL's for a bit of side lighting. I have got to say its brighter in there than i expected.
The temp in the cupboard had come down alot since i took the shelf out and added the fan, stays around 73 to 78F.
PH - 6.2 and im using full strength veg nutes but am changing the res soon (any suggestions when???) to bloom nutes.
Anyway pic 1 is of the clones when i took them, pic 2 of the cupboard, and pic 3 and 4 of the plant today with the clones in the bottom.
Hope you like

Day 45 update
Still all good, plant is way bigger than i wanted but hey wat u gonna do, buds bud right? Only prob is if it keeps growing i will run out of head room but im hoping its starting to slow up a bit now, shes just over 2 foot tall, was hoping for 1 to 1.5 feet tall, lessons learned i suppose.
This is day 10 of 12/12 and she showed her sex 2 days ago and yes its a girl.
Anyway what u all think?
