Curing debate

My growing partner and I have different views on how to harvest our crop. He wants to just hang it in the grow room with the lights so it dries out fast. I want to do a slow cure on it by drying it in a cool place and then paper bagging it till its fully dry. I started getting interested in growing because i hate shitty tasting weed. I bought good seeds, they are healthy plants and i just want it to taste as good as it possibly can. Any suggestions on how to persuade my partner?

Just show your friend any piece of marjuana cutilvation literature written in the past 30 years.

light degrades thc into lesser cannabanoids. thats the main reason why mexican schwag is soo horrible, they dry it in the sun and it turns into headache weed.

If your friend still persists...give him his half and let him do with it whatever he wants and then in about a month pull out your DANK and watch his mouth drop and eyes tear to the difference (and the I should have listened to you lol)

what a douche, id be like dude your a douchebag you should know how to dry weed before you even bother trying to grow it if i were you id go solo you dont need any partners they just weigh you down with there stubborn minds, its not what you or him think is right, its what IS actually right and thats all period.

Well, I asked him retorically what happens to dead things when they are left out in the heat and sun, and I think that got him thinking. And we decided that after it is all cut down we would split it and do our own thing as far as drying/curing goes. One question though, I need a cool dark place to dry it and seeing that i live in the desert and finding a cool dark place is kinda hard to come by would the bottom shelf of my refrigerator work?

i use a closet to dry my buds and if the temp is high put a fan in there to cool it down a bit.

Id suggest you split the harvest, wet weight. then you dry yours the way you want, and he the way he wants;
Then He'll want to buy your bud once he realized he fucked up? lol

Hang it in a cool dark room with air circulation for about 1 week, then its off to airtight curing jars (mason jars work great and cheap). Hang time could be less or more than 1 week before jarring.
I dont care what anyone else on here or anywhere else says about curing...it takes a good month or longer in those jars for the weed to get nice and cured. I like it best around the 3 month mark!! You'll read alot on here about a 2 week cure....dude, that just aint enough to get that good quality were looking for. Read up on it. Here is a start.

Ooh yeah, paper bags work too. Sometimes I hang for about 3 days, then into brown paper bags for a few days before jarring. You just have to get the feel so you know the right time to jar them.
