Curing: filling the jar up without leaving empty room inside?

As I understand, people usually fill it up to 70-90%, right?

Basically if I fill it up to 100%, then it will cure\dry very slowly, if at all, right?

Empty room captures moisture from the buds, right?

So if I accidentally let my buds dry up a bit too much, but I'd still hope to be able to cure them tiny bit, I imagine in this case it may be best to fill the jar up to 100%, right?

can fill to 4/3 - your product will "shrink" when drying/curing Not to worry !!!!!!!! remember the plant does need some room (not much) to ensure proper "gas'es" to release/infuse. should cure for at least 4 weeks - for a short - 2 weeks (BUT 4 = weeks is far better)

What do you mean by 4/3? Yo mean 3/4?

What about filling up to 100%? In my experience it will shrink about 5%. Wouldn't that be enough room?

For most growers, when the 'dry' cannabis is jarred, it will still contain enough moisture that the buds will clump together and become wetter as the moisture moves from the center of the buds outward. The more bud you pack in the jar initially, the more moisture you'll need to release.

It usually works for me to fill the jars about 80% full, then if still too moist, dump the buds into paper bags for a day or so to let them dry out better, then back into the jars. As they get to the proper RH level and the buds tumble separately without sticking to each other and 'clink' around in the jar, then you can fill the jar full and burp daily for 1 - 2 weeks.

If you're seeing the buds in your jars clump together, or your see moisture in the jar, or buds sticking to the jar or lid, they need to be dumped out and dried longer.
