Curing for Cooking

I will be using my medical harvest for cooking purposes only and was wondering about curing for cooking. When I smoked I really got into curing using various techniques, but now I only use non-smoking methods of ingestion.
Do I need to cure for cooking, butter, tincture? What is the best method? Are there different methods?

personally i let the weed get crazy dry before i use it for butter or other extraction. this dry aging aids the process of de-carboxylization of the THC. aka don't bother curing I say. you shouldn't even really taste the weed-ness of the extraction with butter.

with tincture tho, i prolly would cure it cause you can really taste it.
