Nice to have someone else who vapes consider the best way to dry and cure, which may be different than their smoking counterparts. Moisture plays a slightly different role in Vape weed than smoked weed. With smoking, the interest is in a steady, even burn. For vaping the interest is in reducing the likelihood of singing/combustion, and in slowing the heating process of the vaped sample-- allowing flavor to come through.
When you vape, the small sample of weed goes through a range of temperatures as the most volatile compounds vaporize (turpinoids, or flavors), then water, then THC, CBD and CBN, and lastly starches and cellulose (burning). The good thing about moisture in the bud is that while it is boiling away, flavorings have more time to vaporize. Too much moisture, though, and the weed heats unevenly-- burning the outside, while on the inside, flavors don't have the chance to come out.
Curing can help the flavor of vaped weed, because it breaks down the starches into alcohol. Alcohol vaporizes at a low temperature and adds to the flavor. Hopefully you wont burn the remaining starches....
I still need to experiment with optimal moisture content for vaped weed....
