Alright so this is a weird one ive only dryed bud before. But no this year i did an out side grow and i want to cure it.

Thing is where i live the winter comes fast and outside was very very very dumb. (fuck frost) the frost hit them twice and they were staring to get stressed the fuck out and i was afraid if it hit them again it would kill. So i started cutting and i would say if i had it my way they would get 3 more weeks min.

So my question is how should i go about curing?

I have them them drying in a dark place with very good airflow but the temps are kinda low:/(55-65)

how dry should i let them get before curing? (sooner the better because of better temps and less smell)

Any ways just tell me your opinion!

I would let them hang dry till the outside of the buds are dry, 5-10 days seems the norm. The stems will have a little bend left in them, they wont snap yet. Then put them in glass jars. Open the jars to air them out for 15-30min 2 or 3 times a day for the first week. Then cut back on the burping to 1 or 2 times a day for the second week. 1 time a day for the third week. After that maybe once a week just check them to make sure they are not getting mold.

get a tote and fishing line and hang them in the tote and air them several times then when the stems can just snap put them in a glass jar in the light.

I do the same...hang untill stem bends B4 snapping, then put in mason jars, open 2-3 times a day for 10-15 min. for 1st week, then 1 -2 times a day, I do this for 4 weeks or more. Towards the end I only open the jars every other day. Good luck

Dont fill jars more than 1/2 way

yeah if you dried or and cured your harvest in a lighted area... your pretty much screwed man.

light degrades THC levels while drying/curing.

Dont put buds in Freezer either. I dont know why people say to do that. Freezing temps will degrade the thc. The brown paper bag method works great for me. I trim off all the leaves and manicure them right before hanging. Hang about 3 days with little air flowing around them, then brown paper bag them for about 5 days, then when their stems are a little bendable i'll put em into jars, just watch them daily and get that stale air out. You can put em the fridge though for 6 hours at a time then take em out and let him air out. good luck.
