Curing it from the root up...or down, actually

I harvested and dried several plants recently by shaking clean of soil, and then rinsing the roots, and hanging the full plants upside down by the root ends until dry. It took a while, but what a flavor and stone! Unscientific I admit. But my 38 y/o son and I agree this is more delicious and potent than our typical harvest. Anyone else curing entire plants with roots? Your thoughts and experiences please.

You just grew some good pot and the roots had nothing to do with how it tasted or smoked once the plant was pulled.

You could try boiling the roots before hanging the plant upside down. That's supposed to be even better. ;)

Honestly the whole roots-on thing making your pot better was proven to be an urban myth 40 years ago when I grew my first buds. The extra moisture from the roots might have made it take longer for the buds to dry which could well improve the cure some. I take up to 5 weeks drying my buds enough to finally put in jars and burp for another month and it's damn smooth. I do my final trim right off the plant tho too.

If you like it try some with and some without roots and compare.

:peace:
