So my buds are on the third day of drying, hanging down in my closet and I noticed that the humidity is pretty much always between 60-65 rh, does this mean I could just leave them hanging in the closet? or do the buds need a more stable environment to properly cure?

If you can maintain that 60-65rh and the temps. You just created a walk in humidor type environment. The reason to put them in jars. It's small and doesn't take up space. It's the humidity for a slow cure not the container.

Cool :D,thx for the reply
I was just thinking tough since the buds are still drying and releasing humidity that might be the origin of this specific humidity, il have to keep and eye on the hydrometer to see if the RH doesn't drop in correlation to the buds drying.

My humble opinion: Once you've stabilized RH in the jars, all you have to be concerned with is maintaining temperature (RH fluctuates according to temperature, hence "relative"). But in the absence of jars, you must constantly concern yourself with maintaining RH as well, even if you're able to hold a constant room temperature. It just seems unnecessarily more difficult.

Amazing compartments are the plastic holders that espresso roll in from the store. Cover snaps on sealed shut its light evidence and it won't smash if dropped. They come in a few sizes and I have never had any distinction in flavor or smell from glass canning containers. In addition the wide mouth top can suit the 7 and 8g buds of Ace KUSH that cure to flawlessness in these holders.

Terps are volatile compounds that will do exactly what volatile compounds are supposed to do: break down at atmospheric conditions. If you store them in that way, you will have shit tasting and smelling bud in a matter of days. Also, why would you want to spend months growing bud, just to leave them unprotected? Imagine if you burn something while cooking, or just make a pungent stir fry. Your buds will acquire that scent (there is no escaping a pungent batch of 'fry). You start a project and have dust or fibers floating around, it's on your bud. You carry in spider mites; see where I am going with this?

There is just too much to go wrong to justify not putting them in jars. If price is an issue, look online for whole salers. You can get jars in any size, design, and color, (and enough to last you a lifetime and a half) for pennies a piece.
