Yea I think they're about 2600 lumens a piece and you want about 3000 or so per sq. ft. for denser buds. 6 bulbs would cover about 5 sq. ft. and 8 will do about 7. So you'll prolly jus have to measure your space and make sure your ok. but if it's about the size of mine then your fine. especially with just two plants. . I got about 3360 lumen per sq ft. 11- 23w bulbs and 1- 42w bulb all 2700k. I'll add side lighting when it gets crowded in there tho.....

I was thinking about doing side lighting too, are you going to add more bulbs or just distribute them more?

yea i think 4 more sockets for side lighting will be the most I'll add and maybe a few 2-way splitters here and there

Well here's a pic of the AK-48 about 2 weeks from seed just transplanted to bigger pots today.

So i was looking at the AK's and I noticed one had this "upside down taco" sorta thing goin on with the fan leaves. I googled and found it could be first signs of nute burn or Underwatering....

ANY ideas?!?! the second pic is one of the better looking AK's

I'll be counting my flowering period from the first day plant shows sex. Some plants show earlier than others and this is why I call this week 2 & 3. Anyways here's a group photo of the flowering cab out for some early morning fresh air I put alot of stess on these plants when i switch them to flower I also topped and transplanted them the same day(stupid). Still there is one female that is well past all the rest and showed pistils 10 days before the rest, but has no smell. Some smell way better than others and I think the bud development is slow in general, but ionno its been awhile. They say it's 10-12 weeks for commercial mexi bagseed and I'm used to 8 1/2, but we'll see. They did get alot bigger tho......

The smaller 2 are newer plants that have just been rotated to the flower cab and haven't shown sex yet. I still believe my flower cab is a lil less than half full maybe?

If not then I think I may need to veg a few weeks longer. I don't think these will stretch much more with the LST and all. I'm trying to maximize the potential of my cab.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm feeding them shultz cactus formula 2-7-7(half strength) and molasses 1-0-5 (2 tsp) every other watering (2-3 days)

plus The shultz says feed indoor succulents every watering and I'm doing HALF what it recommends every OTHER watering. I think I may up their dose to full every other watering....

Good job man, your plants are looking very nice.
Just remember to take your plants off the nutes 2-3 weeks before harvest just to flush them out, you dont want chemical tasting ak-48

thanks, yea those are just some mystery bagseed from different special baggies I've collected. They still have 7-8 weeks left IMO. I'm going to veg all 5 AK's until I can take a few rooted clones from them and try to flower the originals and hope for the cherry pheno Hopefully by then I'll have it down pat. I'm still learning.

Well I germed 3 Killing Fields fem seeds and 3 El Monstre (jackberryxblue Konic). They're looking good so far. The KF sprouts seems to be growing a tad faster than the EM, but all the EM sprouts had a purplish hue to their first serrated baby leaves and now all have dark purple stems, while the KF are a normal green. The blueberry influence seems strong in these babies. I'll just have to wait and see. In the first pic u can see the difference between the two (EM on the left, KF on the right)

Yea this is my first time using CFL's. The hardest part is feeling out how large i need to veg, and what'll be the most efficient pot size in order to maximze my cab space and yield......

Go for at least a 3 gallon pot.

yo check out drgreengenes micro grow at icmag.com he is using 20 oz bottles cut down to 16 oz and he gets a oz per plant. just check it out he will help out alot

Be careful growing anything with "blue" genetics, they are notoriously sensitive to PH & nutes.

Didn't know that and was considering ordering blue genetics, that post may have changed my mind +rep .

Thanks for the heads up. I kinda knew the blues and purps are a lil finicky but I think it was time to try em this being my 4th time around. Plus I jus love luv the colors

Wasup everybody after looking around at other threads Dr. Buds CFL SOG to be exact and I think this will be the way I go except I'm not sure I'm quite skilled enough just yet so I'll try different size pots until I get it dialed in. Unfortunately I lost three very nice looking plants because they decided they were gonna be male, plus the 4 irene kush seeds I germed were all duds O yea gotta new cam tho, and the bigger 2 of the 4 bagseed clones have rooted I feel like a mad scientist now!!(It's ALIVE!!!!) Here are some shots of the cab with added side lighting and new pots...... Flowering chamber: 14-23w bulbs 1- 42 w bulb = 364 w= 25000 lumens of CFL= 250w hps= .8g per watt(goal) hopefully getting 200 grams every 60-63 days hope this isn't too confusing but by my logic I think it will be possible eventually.... Any ideas.... suggestions??
