cutting a small bud to test?

What would happen if I cut a small bud to test before I harvest? I just want to cut a small bud to see if it gets me high, im not being impatient.. if it was that I would have already chopped her a while ago. She's almost done I plan on harvesting in the next 2 ot 3 weeks, I just wanted to see how the smoke is before. So I know how careful to be with curing process. So what's bad about cutting a small bud and why? And if its ok and not going to damage anything what would be a good way to dry the bud? And would curing it for a few days help? Thanks RIU!

We've all done it. That being said - you shouldn't. You are basically robbing yourself of future weed. You snip a "nice sized bud" to smoke a joint - by the time you dry it down, you are throwing away a decent sized bud if you'd let it grow until it's ready.
Just don't feel bad about doing it... it's like over nuting.. we all do it once (at least) and learn not to do it again..(hopefully)...

Don't gauge anything on a pre-smoke. Every time you cure you shoud do it like your life depends on it..... don't skip it and don't cut any corners. The quality of your shit will pretty much depend on the cure, anybody who tells you otherwise is pulling your proverbial. Good cure = nice smoke.

thanks guys! It would just hurt that bud right? From cutting one small one won't do anything to other buds growing? I only plan on cutting a real small bud growing at the bottom that's not really getting any light. So I know if it gets me high the top buds will be as good as they look. With a nice cure of course. Here's a question I never see.. how do you know when bud is fully cured? Obviously like better taste and smell but anything else?

If I am honest I would have to pass on this one and let someone else answer, I just cure until I get an over whelming urge to lick my bud ike ice cream.

You can't test anything until it is harvested, dried and properly cured for at least 30 days. Until then you don't have a finished product and your test is worthless. I never smoke any or even weigh it until the 30 day cure is complete. The pot gods smile upon patient growers.
