Is cutting bud sites from a flowering plant good or bad?

Today was the start of week 4 of flower. Some of my braches have 6-10 nodes and most have bud tips .I clipped some lower tips early flower to promote bud growth but I'm using a scrog and missed alot under the screen.Today I clipped some of the bud sites under the scrog but not to much..one branch had 8 nodes I took off 4 leaving the fan leaves and left the top 4 to grow...will this effect them in a good or bad way? Any more info y'all wanna share would help

And some of the clippings already started to bud so I hope I didn't do it to late..I read that if you do it during flower you could damage your yeild because the plant will focus energy on repairing the damage... but is it spending more energy healing or growing popcorn buds?

i do it but i do it early and the buds you leave get bigger. they should heal quick then focus on the bud sites left

I'm no expert, but from my personal experience I think you'll be fine. I think you'll be better off with what you've done.
