ok so i will HAVE to harvest within the week. i have people comming in town that CANNOT find out i am/was growing. so i have come to ask is there anything i can do this last week to speed up the process or whatever to make her "think" it is time to be done. or anything at all that i can do to help her out so the harvest is as good as it could be. i know that she isn't done for one it hasn't been as long as you guys suggested AND i see new growth but the buds are starting to turn a little yellow and i have no choice to harvest. i have heard that cutting the lower branches off can help to increase the amount of energy the plant puts into the top cola. i want this to be the best it can be and after looking closer the buds are really yellow! got a few pics if you need more let me know. but i had the scissors in my hand and decided to ask first so any help as soon as possibly.

you gotta do what you gotts do...but it looks like there are some seeds in your flowers...i would go from 12/12 to 13.5 hours light for the last couple days..could give a little boost.

no there is definitely no seeds in there but would cutting the bottom buds off help it at all. some of them are so yellow that it makes me think they will be useless if left too much longer.

Honestly that thing looks like its got a few weeks to go...I hate to ruin it for you but if you harvest that thing now the smoke will just give you a headache....Instead of turning all that work you did into nothing why dont you find a spot somewhere outside for that thing or maybe a friend or someone that could take it for a while.

Im serious though that bud is far from finished. :peace::peace::peace:

I agree...The buds look as if you can see through them. Are they dense at all or just leafy?

I can see theres very few calyxes so its definitely not going to be dense...looks like the plant started some regrowth on the buds...its happened to me its almost like the plant goes back into veg for a second and stretches all funky...It usually happens from certain types of stress.

Seriously though if theres anyway possible to let that thing go for a couple more weeks it will be the only way to get some smokable bud. Ive tried smoing early bud and it isnt fun at all.

Anyways that really sucks and im sorry your i nthat situation...I had to kil 9 6 foot tall plants before...burned them all in a bonfire....I cried

no nowhere in the yard to go and as for it going to a friend's house i don't really see that happening i mean the plant is like 4.5 feet tall and no way to transport and no TRUSTWORTHY friends (new to the area). i mean she has been flowering since aug 11 (pic included). and yeah some of the buds are more dense than others the top cola is really nice and dense compared to the rest. i am thinking the only thing i can do is cut her down before people get here. that is why i am saying should i cut the bottom stuff off NOW so the top cola can try it's best. and it was like 3 weeks ago people said maybe another month but yeah i see new growth. so what to do. whatever i get i will smoke i put A LOT of time into this plant. she still smells SUPER FRUITY.

should i cut the bottom stuff or just wait till the last minute to cut it all? and lots of the buds are yellowing. actually a lot more yellow now than this morning scary amounts of yellow have popped up today.

i know she has been in flower way too long now i was expecting to be smoking her by now.

but i have heard that cutting the bottom will make the plant divert energy to the top cola? would it be really that bad of an idea to cut the bottom stuff off?

and with all this yellow i am scared that these buds are going to be ruined if not taken off soon i mean LOT of yellow starting to pop up EVERYWHERE but the top cola. and some buds are drying up a little? this is how all the leaves got lost.

looks like you answered your own question. :)
well i will try to post some pics tomorrow as it is almost 2 am here. and when i do maybe you guys will understand how dead some of it was. still looks nice off the plant and very fruity we will see how it cures.

FDD you are one of my heroes since joining this forum i would have loved to hear from you before cutting but i waited almost 24 hours from my first post asking about this and no one had anything really to say except those saying not to harvest yet. i had no choice. now we will see what happens and yeah i will post some pics tomorrow. and not all was harvested...i hope this made sense i am soooo drunk hahahaha

ok not drunk now so i'll post pics now of what i did. the top cola looks a little better today compared to yesterday i am hoping that she makes it long enough to make that bit of bud a little closer to a harvest time. but i am including pis of before, after, jar shot, close up of none dense really dead bud, and today...

what do you think?

They look dead honestly. I see no bud. All I see if fluff in the plant.
I don't know how that's possible though.
You say you've been flowering since august?
Flowering only takes a maximum up to 10 weeks

Hes tried to grow a sativa strain in seriously low levels of light and it hasn't worked well.
I will bet he will do better next time:blsmoke:

Where are the leaves dude? Did you already cut it down and trim it already? If so, way to early, they needed to fatten up some more. That one looks burnt in the middle too, How close was your light?:peace:

did you use a laptop with a picture of the sun on it for light? lol just kidding was this your first grow? and did you realy flower that long or just trying to have us tell you its time to cut it.

no it wasn't burnt i think it may have been due to its major stress at the beginning of flower it had almost no light back then. it got a little better then worse and i had no choice but to cut most of it down i just trimmed the buds and my fingers are very sticky and the house smells beautiful. i'll get some more pics.
