Cutting my roots

I'll preface this by saying this is my first grow using 'ponics, and my fist grow in about 40 yrs, and that was in dirt.
I am doing an aeroponics grow with a ceramic/glass bubbler. My roots had started to swim around in the water. One of my "bushes" went limp on me - the other three guys are fine - so I thought that maybe it was due to their swimming around in the rez.
(I'm running a 400w) and just changed my rez after 2 wks, as the TD was 2000, and my ph was up and down over the last few days. It is now, as of a new rez change, ph 6.13 and my TD is 875.

I mixed some Thrive in with the foxfarm "yummy stuff" to help them not go into shock. . .at least not too badly. Any thing I should keep my eye on? Will I wake up tomorrow and they will all be limp?

Thanks for your replies in advance

Sounds like you cured your problem by changing the rez. Just make sure you never drastically increase your ppm or else that could happen.

The roots in the water shouldnt be a problem if you have an airpump and airstone in the water delivering oxygen to the roots, I doubt this is right since i dont do aero but maybe since your roots were in the water and being sprayed it got overwatered? Are your roots literally paper white or are they all thin and yellow/brownish.

Edit: if your root system starts to get too big to where you arent confident in your sprayers just switch to dwc your plants DONT CARE, there isn't shock or anything.
