There's never really any reason to trim leaves. Some people trim them when starting clones, which might be okay even though my clones rooted without trimming. I don't know of any really experienced growers who trim leaves.

wait for natural causes to take it down it will slowly die and fall off no reson to scare the plant it will just grow slower if you start cutting off leafs if you have time to wait for bud go to town rofl all depends on if it is nut burn or fungi post some picks so we can take a look and give you better advise and dont trim if it is in flowering period have fun and gl have fun tokin those buds

just wondering if its in anyway beneficial or just cosmetic to the plant.
I'm reading with amazement that people would tell you to leave a dead tip on a leaf. Truly amazing. As with any other plant, if a portion of a leaf is dead, dying or diseased, you may cut the tip(s) off. I cut off the dead portion and just a bit of the green so the leaf will quit trying to recover or repair the tips. I think it is more cosmetic, but dead organic material does indeed attract insects. You are not harming the plant or stunting it by cutting off already dead material.

Those that say otherwise are just repeating talking points they read elsewhere....

I mean its a dead leaf! its like a frost bitten toe on a human, does cutting off something that is dead and can't feel really hurt you?

Experienced growers don't prune lower branches. It's bad if they touch the ground, but it's better to put paper under the leaf than to cut it off. There's half a dozen or so really experienced growers I follow closely, especially Uncle Ben, and they all talk against pruning. I'm not going to second guess that much experience. But it is your plant and obviously that spot bothers you. Cut the damn thing off and live dangerously.

Happy growing.
