well i have a few very nice plants out in the yard there are 11 plants out there.
and i also have a big Gorilla grow going with 50-60 plants in a remote location with my buddy i will post some pics of that grow soon. :joint:
this year has been a great growing season!! as long as it continues with the very little rain they all should make it and be some great smoke. :blsmoke:
here are my girls in the yard i got a group of 7 plants off to the side well hidden.
i am using 30-gal. bins with soiless mix they are being feed a 10-10-10 slow release. now that they are into flower i have been giving them some Bloom Nutes.
they seem to like the slow release nute's. and now they have been in flower for close to 2 + weeks so there starting to look sweet. i pollied a lower side shoot on most of the plants with some pollen i was gifted its BOG Sour Bubble Bx3 but it does not look like it took maybe the pollen was non-viable. i was thinking of hitting some other lower branches with some Mango pollen.
here are the pics of the girls in my yard. and the strains i have out there are as follows.
2- Bermese x G13
2- KKSC
2- Dabney Blu
1-Pre2k DJ BB
1- Original Daywrecker Diesel
1- Pre98 Bubba Kush
1- E.S.P =(Chem-D x Blueberry)
1- AK-47 x Bubbleberry

After years o growing, my outdoor experience is still very limited and something I would like to look at more next year. Hope you don't mind me being inquisitive?

Why do you use such large pots, 30 gallon? I have rarely seen a plant require that much space rootwise. Are they potted up repeatedly up to that stage, i.e 1 gallon, 5 gallon, 10 gallon, 30? So that the rootball is properly firm and most of the soil isn't being wasted? (did you know that square pots hold far more volume that round pots?)

Peace

i forgot to mention that i was having groundhog problems eating my plants. but i finally got that slick little shit took 2 weeks but he is long gone. i called the place were i got the trap from and asked if they do anything with the animals and the lady on the phone told me to fill a barrel with water and drop the cage in it. i could not do that even though he was making my life hell i could not kill it so i drove about 5 miles away to the state forest and let him go. it was a good thing that the plants he was munching on were KKSC witch i do not think will finish anyway its an 11 week strain in my climate i think the max i can get is around 9 weeks. but this year the weather has been perfect so they might come very close to finishing..

if you have been growing for year indoors or out you should no the bigger the pot the better. thats why i use large pots because the more root room the bigger the plant and the bigger and better it will bud! i have 2 plants in the 30gal's so 15gal. for each plant. they were never transplanted they went into those bins as rooted clones. also the bins are squared well its rectangle but same deal. trust i no most of the tricks i have been at this indoors and out for over 13 years now. and as you can see in the pics my girls are growing very nice and healthy especially for outdoor plants. this fall you will see me blow it up indoors i got some new gear i plan on running for the first time.
The Flav
White Buddha
SFV OGK
Pure (pussy) Kush
Chem-D
Romulan
Black Domina
and maybe a Casey Jones

Not necessarily the case, so we will agree to disagree on that one.

Now I just wanna go kill the lady on the phone lol

i guess its all on the size of the plants your growing also, and there are so many variations! just for example i keep 3ft. tall mothers in 16oz. plastic cups because of size restrants and they stay healthy just need allot more watering then a bigger pot. and i have also grown out a 3ft. bush in a 1gal. pot that yielded 5-3/4 oz. so i guess in a way you are rite but i did notice i get better faster growth from a bigger pot and the yield is usually better. once i start my indoor flower up i will do a side by side for you i will have most of the plants in 1-2gal. bags lots of smaller plants but i will keep one in the 6x6x7in. pot to see what happens.

Yeahh sure, you seem to have it dialed in hence me keeping tabs but im very inquisitive and do like ot cross reference everything to suit our own environment etc you know?

We did a few tests with pots a couple of years ago and it involved some root research. They generally grow to the outside of the pot then around the soil as oppose to through the centre, so often the root mass could be a lot tighter if it was in smaller pots and then bigger pots, using up more of that central soil. Make sense? In essence the tighter root balls ended up with tighter better buds in the majority of cases.

Seeing as you are doing great its just a point that it might be even better if you could get that rootmass to be like that which it rarely is with this the biG pots early doors? Or perhaps something you are doing or adding is making this happen naturally.

I realise its a bit geeky maybe so maybe you don't care and just concentrate on improving each time lol

that makes total sense about the root filling up the smaller pots in theory it should work out like you say. but like you said i do not care that much as i always get amazing results and i just try to improve on that each grow. i am mostly a indoor grower but i need a indoor A/C in order to grow in the summer.
i grow in a 4x4x7 homebox with a 1k HPS and i average 14-20 oz. a harvest depending on the strains i am running. if i got 4 nice ODD bushes i can pull 20oz.+ easy but i am always growing different numbers of plants ideally for yield 4 plants in 5gal. buckets does the best. but sometimes i do bigger numbers of smaller plants cause i like variety!

Yeahh me too :-D

Just do small grows up to 6 plants, often with tents, they are great. I am just harvesting as we speak, One Black Widow, one Blue Rhino, One unknown (sposed to be jack herer but I'm not convinced!) and I have two Moby Hash that need about 5-7 days.

The spice of life n all that

here are some Bud pics from yesterday morning. they are starting to stack up some sweet cola's and they are getting very frosty and they smell real strong.
the fastest strains in flower are as follows!!
E.S.P=(Chem-D x BB)
Bermese x G13
pre98 Bubba
pre2k DJ BB
Dabney Blu
these strains are all budding up very nice and are ahead of all the others. the strains that are lagging behind are the following.
KKSC expected its 50% Haze.
OD a slow starter but a big yielder.
AK-47 x Bubbleberry
and all these strains have the potential to turn purple some its just the leaves and some the bud turns a dark purp and the temps are already dropping into the 50's so that should help promote purple growth.

i was just out checking out the girls and the DJ BB is starting to purple up very nicely and so is the AK-47 x Bubbleberry
and they are smelling something fierce my neighbors must be smelling it by now. LOL
last year the guy next door looked over the fence and asked me if he could get a joint when it was ready. so i gave him 4- 1/4oz. so he had 4 strains a quarter of each he was very happy to say the least
