YA AGAIN VERY SIMPLE, my question is CAN THEY LAY EGGS UNDER THE SOIL? that is all I am asking. I already understand what causes bugs and how to get rid of them those are not what I'm asking. The gnats were from over watering in the dead of winter up in the mountians and I was leaving for a few days so I made sure they were soaked, there was only 2 bugs and gone with in a days or so after letting the pot dry out well. I keep my tent very clean I have a humidity and temp gage that I keep an eye on, there was a single(large) red spider, all I am asking is could it have layed eggs in the soil?
Well seeing as how I've been checking through them all day and have only seen one id say 100%. I have a 60x scope I've been running under and above the leafs and haven't seen any more. Their sprouts so I try not to over water them so it was getting a little dry as well as the heat mat probably provoked it to come by. I've seen the tiny tiny mites(hard to see) and I've seen one or two of these red ones before not this big I think it was the first one to come along an prego.
From memory this is what I believe I saw. Hard to tell do to the fact it's zoomed in so size comparison but body shape I believe is identical.
Well when their in my room ya I'm not stoked but there was no freak out I just wanted to figure out if there was a problem before it turned into a big problem. Buddy always used neem and it seemed to work really well my problem is I have no money now or for a few weeks to go buy any. Good to know there are good ones though. I think I see eggs almost look like little clear tricomb balls on the leafs top mainly but they have had them since birth as well as other plants before and never had any problems. Even just finished up a harvest and no bugs. I took a couple of the less healthy looking leaves and checked them under a 60x scope as well as ran through various parts on them an no bugs. Any in site to those clear balls?
Ya exactly, 9/10 bugs u find near your plants are not pests and are just attracted by warm humid places, some can actually be very helpful.
That's the problem though, there are many different types of bugs you'd have to get a book to decifer which is good and which are bad. Not to mention I don't want them making a home in my bedroom good or bad, garage would be a different story. Ya I know mites like being out of direct sunlight( under the leaf) but there are around 1200 different types I'll bet one probably doesn't mind direct light all to much. Just thought I'd be safe then sorry ya know. Thanks guys for all your help especially with the little info I was able to give you guys.
