Damp Crumbly After Drying??

This outdoor harvest has been hanging for wayyy too long. Stems still bendy. took a few down to inspect and they seem to be crumbly, yet still damp in the middle?? Temps in the room have stayed a consistent 60-65 with two dehums keeping the humidity around 50-55 for weeks now. Plenty of air flow with the dehums running, two separate fans and an a/c that stays on a good amount of time outside weather depending. Tip top drying conditions. Any input would be greatly valued as im concerned about losing our entire harvest this season. Theres no visible mold/rot/webbing nothing.....

Start curing and and see if there’s some inside moisture that can be pulled out. Worst case throw some healthy weed leafs in the jars and rehydrate. At least you will come out with something. I’ll be over dried and was overall happy after saving them by rehydrating them. Good luck

but thats what im trying to understand...how can they be over dried if the stems are still bendy and not snappy. if u squeeze the buds, they crumble yet have an abundance of moisture in the centers. It was an outdoor harvest in early oct into nov far from our first. So some have been hanging for 6 weeks or so which is by far the longest we have ever had to leave anything up before bucking or boxing. But givin some of the colas were epically large, it seemed like a reasonable time frame considering two weeks or so is usually around the time it takes for most of ours to be ready for cure/trim. The only time ive ever pulled, what i would call early from the drying lines, led to the larger colas webbing in the centers with light rot after jarring/boxing. Those also were on their third week on the lines with much skinnier stems, and i needed the room at the time. I figured 3 weeks was plenty even if the cola stems weren't snappy yet. I was wrong and have dried to snaps ever since. Using it as a general guide of course to knowing to pull off dry lines. These stems are still holding moisture... How can these buds all be crumbly unless their was possibly an underlying stem rot issue over looked?? As of now, im not sure whether to continue to cure and trim or crumble it all up, extract and cry. I appreciate the help guys Thanks.

Ill let you know how they turn out in a couple weeks. The few ive trimmed look A+. Still holding a good fruity nose but if even squeezed in the lightest of ways they just crumble to a finer dust. Frustrating run. Its def far less challenging dry/curing smaller plants and flowers. Thanks for the input

curious, having the same issue this year, how did yours turn out?

Sounds like maybe too much fan?? Hard to say, but sounds like the outside dried to quickly. How many days/hours did you water before chopping down? Plant’s could have been overly dried before harvesting maybe?

Thanks. Newbie here. They were outdoor plants and I washed, then wet trimmed. Lots of rain leading up to chopping them. Temp and humidity in the dry room was 20 degrees 50-60% humidity. But I did have three fans circulating the air(not pointed at the plants.) I’ll reduce it to two next time. Thanks for answering this.

Any pics of the buds? Depending on locale humidity has been a roller coaster but that sounds off to say the least? Big colas or not 6 weeks is WAY long
