Damping off! Survival story anyone?

So at least three of my seedlings are suffering from damping off. The seedlings showing signs of damping off are 11 days old From planting. One of them that was the first to show signs and had a very pinched and weak stem, I covered with some dirt and propped it back up and read up on damping off and gave it some hydrogen peroxide. The next day I gave it some cinnamon and it seemed to be getting better. It actually looks really good except for it wants to lean over and the leaves are a bit funky and curled like it was overwatered. I think it’s been about four days now since it had the damping off happen and one other one showed signs. I feel like the plants are about past that stage of getting it now but three of them I dug the dirt up on a little bit and they are definitely showing signs with extremely weeks stems and some lesions. It’s only three that are having a problem and I looked under the dirt of the other ones and they seem to be good. The three that are having problems actually look fine except they want to lean over some.

Any chance of survival? My other option is to clone them which I’ve read works for this and they’re definitely big enough. I want to add that the plants that have the damping off are growing just as fast as the other ones basically. But they have fucked up stems under the dirt for sure

In the past I’ve had a few damp off in solo cups and I ran out of options and said fuck it. I up potted them and to my surprise they bounced back. No clue why it worked, it just did. They weren’t ready to up pot yet and tiny so be careful and give it a shot.

What do you mean up pot? I’m willing to do whatever works because I need each one. Do you mean adding dirt?

Yeah it’s like basically doomsday for seedlings from everything I’ve read. The only guy I read with a success story cut the stalk off at the bottom and cloned it. I’m thinking about doing that but I don’t wanna wait the extra week for it to recover while all its sisters are far ahead

I will say that it’s been hanging in there pretty darn good. I gave them a little bit of aspirin because that strengthens the immune system so I’m hoping maybe that will help them fight back. Last ditch effort probably tomorrow or the next day I’m gonna try to clone them

To be exact I start seedlings in solo cups and the couple times I had an issue with damping off I up potted them in 1 gallon pots with FFOF. I bonsai mothers for cloning and keep them in 1 gallons for their life and take clones. Once I did the up pot thing it just worked. Every time. It’s the damndest thing. Couldn’t believe it. I’d actually like to know the reason why but can live without knowing.

edit: I gave them a small amount of tap water after transplant with a spray bottle.

I read some guy had this happen with well water, could be a wives tale. You could try distilled just to change it up and remove one variable.

I've had it happen with coco I used one too many times...too much composting organic matter in it, hindered it's ability to drain well enough. I did the ol' snippity do da day (cloned it) and eventually flowered her out. Dampening off is not the end of the world if she's big enough to clone, but it should cause you to look further into what caused it, otherwise, you'll be cloning for days. Good luck.

did any seedling survive? just lost 9 Rebel Grown 5G purple to damping off. Using SoHum Cannabis, germed then in rapid rooters and when the roots grew out put them in 5gallon fabric pots. Think the rapid rooters where to wet when I put them in their pots accompanied by a couple of 50° nights led to damping off

Following. I stupidly kept humidity domes over mine. Taken them off now. Popsicle sticks I used to mark my strains seem to have contaminated my pots with fungus. Most seedlings look okay but on one the first set of true leaves is soggy at the tips, I don't think it'll make it. Any tips for increasing their chances of survival?

For seeds wet/feed the medium before potting, it might sound like some irrelevance it's not.

If you take coco/soil and wet it, it collapses pushing out the lovely air pockets, if you wet it 1st then pot it all of the lovely air pockets are preserved, do that and any seed that makes it to the surface survives and thrives right off the bat.

Damping off is a fungal infection. Exacerbated by poor drainage, poor air circulation and not enough light.
There is no cure for infected plants Thiophanate-methyl is supposed to be an effective preventive treatment.
