I’m really into just beautiful exotic dark purple buds... anyone have any recommendations they have tried recently and where they ordered them from? No auto flowering strains please. Only strains you’ve personally seen/harvested please. I don’t want green with light hues but dark purple or my best chances of achieving this. Just need to info on where to buy not all the info about cold weather etc and phenos etc. i understand all that. Just want to know where my best chance would be based off personal experience and photos if you have them. Also does anyone know why auto flowering strains tend to always be super purple opposed to regular fem seeds? Thank you

20190118_202716_HDR.jpg 20190118_202735.jpg Jungle cookies by Trichome Jungle Seeds has a very dark, almost black phenotype. I had bad luck with that variety though, fire smoke on some, bland and average on others.

Lots of purple leaf varietys around, if thats what your after.

Norstar has some nice true purple flowers in Dirty little secret and to a lesser extent in Vintners Moonshine . Big worm genetics has some purples as well.

I'm sure others will chime in with other suggestions. Good luck in your quest for color!

Tropicana cookies, find the right pheno and you'll have purple buds with purple trichs.
Yeah, Oni sunburns (which is crossed with tropicana cookies) turns out some nice purple pheno's too. This one was really a deep purple (camera phone really doesn't do it justice). There were other nice purple pheno's in the pack too...

There's obviously Granddaddy Purple or GDP. And I'm growing a bunch of Godfather Purps, which is Godfather (GDP x LA Confidential) crossed with Mendo Purps by MTG, but I don't know if MTG is even still in business because they have been "sold out" in every online seed bank I can find for at least a year. And I got Cheese seeds from the Single Seed Center Platinum Collection, on sale feminized for $10 a bean. It got intensely purple while flowering in winter but when I planted clones this spring they flowered nicely, super potent, but not purple... so I guess they need short days or lower temps to get the purple pigment. Also, Paris OG turned purple late in the year and I enjoy the flowers but my wife refuses to vape it because she says it makes her head spin too much.

I just ordered some Purple Urkle seeds from Humboldt CSI. It's supposed to be one of the "parents" of at least one strain of GDP, and I'm hoping to find out if it's good for my wife's migraines. So far, she has had luck with GDP and Godfather, so I'm focusing on purple strains to see if the anti-migraine effect might be connected to the purple pigment.

Anthocyanins are a type of flavonoid in the purply weed. Anthocyanins are claimed to have antioxidant and other health benefits. Hope it works for migraines too.
