Hey guys!
Firstly, I will show you my current cooltube setup:

Obviously, it's not the most efficient setup in the neighbourhood.
My question - should I add another fan as an exhaust, which would make it 2x 240CFM or should I simply rebuild it to avoid extra power consumption and noise?
Something like this:

I'm using a 400W MH and HPS in a cooltube, my fan is 240CFM .
It looks like this:
Carbon filter > fan> some ducting> cooltube>ducting
I know that a simple 90 degrees elbow cuts the airflow by 60%, so like I said, should I go for another fan or should I just rebuild it?

i think you should start growing in it
you wont know if its good enough til ya get plants in there, and a thermometer to check heat, and your nose to see if it stinks.

FUCK DIAGRAMS, I WANNA SEE PICS WITH PRETTY PLANTS!

nah but really, youll be ok, i mean a 400w doesnt make that much heat. just crank it up and get it started.
either way, you could get a small oscillating fan on the ground to help move air around.

I do think your better off reversing your CF and leaving your cooltube open. If you wanted to greatly increase ventilation and not go overboard with power, you can install a 6" duct booster as your tent intake. They work great for direct intake because they dont have to fight any pressure in between two sidewalls as opposed to using it in your ducting. they also run at 330 cfm on a 6" suncourt brand. The eco plus ones arent as efficient

Its much better to have your filter higher in the room ... to take ther warmer air out! where is your fresh air coming from? if you just have a slightly bigger pipe for the air intake, I say you dont need another fan! looks like your room is sealed. nice setup! your drawing skill we re not giving it justice!

Unfortunately you cannot see it on the picture but it's there ;)
Hopefully I can fit my CF on top of my tent as it's 2m tall and my room ain't much taller than the tent itself. I will fill you guys in tomorrow once I get home.

p.s.
So you're saying that 1x in 240cfm and 1x out 240cfm will be more efficient in air exchange than 2x out 240cfm plus two passive intakes?
