If your temps inside the bucket is 86 your headed for problems. Nute temps should be around 70. High temps will definitely slow growth, among other problems.
Apparently your correct. I am trying all I can to keep the temperatures low. I'm aware as too why this has occurred. I will avoid it on my next res change tomorrow. I have been adding droplets of tarantula to avoid bacteria growth during the meanwhile. Root check for 5 plants were fine, 1 plant has a root with a flubbed looking coating. I removed that washed the net and added an extra droplets of tarantula. The bad root I found was discovered before adding tarantula, that is what induced the idea that I add a "Bennie".

If there's one thing about hydro that is the most critical characteristic of the grow, it is root zone temp. Especially running DWC. Colder water = denser water = more dissolved oxygen. As you drift towards higher temps you also create excellent breeding grounds for the wrong kinds of microbes.
That being said, dropping your root zone temp by 15 degrees Fahrenheit all at once will do a whole lot more damage. I would recommend resetting your reservoir with clean water and SOS at a degree lower, and just dropping your res temp 1 degree Fahrenheit every 12 hours until you get closer to 70-73. If you don't have the means for that, then invest in a water chiller, or send em to coco.

Thank you for making the time and effort to respond. I have theories that have coincided with your advice. I was adding low temp waters at a minimal proportion. To avoid damaging roots. I was also waiting until tomorrow being my 10th day due for reservoir change to rectify the water temperature. Which has become a problem only considering that when I began my transfer I temped the water @85.6 like a fool. I am confident that will my plans I will be avoiding this issue in my next res change. Again I appreciate your information. It has confirmed my own plans. I'm glad that I'm individually aware of what needs t get done and that my responders are giving accurate information that coincides with me ideas. That just confirms I'm on the right page. I have not yet have had any rot with the excpetion of o e root with a flub since I've been facing water temp issues. I also have been adding tarantula. Thanks
