Objective: have 6 inch fan blowing at very low speeds when lights are off.I vent out of dryer duct and don't want it to be just gushing out air 24/7.

Where's the cheepest but decent place to buy online?

Could I use a standard speed controller in conjunction with a timer or 2 to achieve this?the fan can run at full strength when lights are on.

Thank-you in advancd

If your lights are off you shouldn't need a controller or need to vent the hoods. I would just get a timer and set it to come on with the lights and go off 10 minutes after the lights do.

If for some reason you still want a controller then check out BGHydro.com They have some great deals and you can pick up a C.A.P. day/night controller for $60.

If you are worried about the smell then put a small carbon filter on before the fan. With the carbon filter you wouldn't even have to exhaust the air out of the tent. You could just get a small Can 50 and a 4" fan; connect them together and strap them to the ceiling. Have them run continuosly and exhaust back into the room and you'll have no mell issues.
