Dealing with deer early in the season

This year I started inside and put my plants outside around the middle of April. With my plants being about 3 feet tall at a time when there is very little other vegetation, I suffered considerable casualties to deer that stumbled upon a tasty treat.

What is the best way to deter deer from recently planted plants without using fences? I would like to be a little more discrete. I have heard that human hair will keep deer away. Is that true?

Buy about 50 mouse traps. set them and lay them on sticks UPSIDE DOWN around youR plants. when they deer walk up to your plants they will set of the traps. The snap of the trap will send them running.

Vacum cleaner bags full of hair and human smell also works.

they hate moths ball, dog hair, piss around them every now and then. vegetation is plentiful for deer right now and thus, your plants will be safe (imo) from them

Liquid Fence, huh? How often do you have to reapply it? Is it expensive? What about the mothballls? Do they work very good?

I have heard from old school gardeners, not growers, that a used tampon keeps them away. Something about the blood and "stuff" keeps them far away from the plants.

Dirty underware and t shirts and they have to be freshened weekly.I used to use criso but it causes cancer (telephone polls are soaked in criso)Im a deer hunter and anything with B O will scare them off and keep them away.Deer dont usually forget where that human oder was and steer clear. They took criso off the market but some old hardware stores still have it
