Dealing with people

So I've just about got my grow down pat. I live in a house with like 12+ other people, its a independent living I've got one roommate who I get along with.

There is a lady who comes and cleans. She previously knew about my mj grow but today when I came through the door I got this omg you're growing pot, have you told the land lady talk. Frankly I'm annoyed that she is bringing it up as if it were an issue. I tried telling her that I haven't told her yet..

My questions are isn't the room we rent considered our personal space? Isn't it illegal to violate that space? What if she has permission from the land lady?

Next question is what's with these fucking people who try to gas light you when you try to come up in life? Everything from the kooks who are all like "ya gotta hide your license plates" to this person who suspected I was this dude who had previously been rolling cigarettes? Why do some people get a vendetta when you try to do good? I see no reasonable objections to my actions. It seems its a type of envy, or jealousy? Is there a better word for it that describes the character type I'm hinting at?

I'll be honest, the person with questionable character is you. In most places growing weed is illegal whether you or I think it's an issue or not. Even in legal states 16 plants are more than most places allow. I'm sure you know this already and that's why you didn't ask the landlord to begin with. Expecting others to absorb the extra cost for electricity, water, possible damage from fire, water spills, the noise of exhaust fans or the stink of budding plants is asking a lot. Your "come up" is putting the landlords investment at risk. If you want to grow ask her if it's ok. Set it up right so you don't have a hundred extension cords running 30 cfl's from one outlet tripping breakers or having 20 gallon hydro rez bursting at the seams. If she says no, live with it and find a place that'll allow it or do it outside somewhere. You can't really bitch about someone not respecting your space if you're not respecting theirs.

Compelling reply, perhaps done by an English major but I doubt done by someone with any real world technical experience.

What fire risk? Floodling?
LMFAO, just tell me when to start building the ark okay?
Electricity costs are a joke.

The fact that you brought up the cost of water says a lot, its extremely cheap.

Isn't there insurance for damages? Isn't that what the first and the last months rent is about? Not fueling reasons to be negligent, but isn't it like me scolding you with a you could kill someone behind that wheel' type talk?

How about you get your own place before you start growing...

You RENT plain and simple, you have privacy to an extent.

I hope you're not growing in a sober living home.

Truth hurt? I have real world tech experience, I don't live in a boarding house you do. I have lived in worse, luckily I was forced to grow up and eventually bought a home where i can do as I please. Your problem is you're punk kid who's just cutting teeth in the real world with no sense of responsibility or respect for others. You act like you're owed something, Electricitys joke, waters cheap, fuck damaging anything that's what insurance is for, right? No matter how small the risk is to YOU why would a landlord assume it? It isn't just illegal shit that isn't allowed. I own 2 dogs that have never damaged my house, but try to find an apartment that accepts them. You live in somebody else's house you live by their rules period. If you don't like it pack your shit.

"but isn't it like me scolding you with a you could kill someone behind that wheel' type talk?[/QUOTE
How's a car ACCIDENT killing someone even remotely related to this? Driving a car is perfectly legal, growing 16 plants in the closet of a boarding house without the landlords permission isn't! Get it? If posted a thread saying "Got arrested for DUI last night, I wasn't even drunk it was only six beers what the fuck? That's not the cop being the asshole in that situation is it?

Because it IS an issue. Its an illegal activity happening in someone elses house.

Cleaner knows about it and so she is an accessory. Im sure her boss would like her to tell them if something illegal is happening so it could be her job on the line as well.

Think about it..grow up a bit and take some responsibility for how your actions affect others.

Moisture damage, mould, and yes fire. Technical and real world experience? Everything he brought up has validity. If you are in Canada and the building gets classed as an illegal grow then there could be huge issues. We're you actually thinking you would get a different respone? Kids these days ..... you guys crack me up lol.
