Decreased Light at End of Flower

At the end of flower stage for final ripening, say in the last 7-10 days;

Would it better to decrease the duration of light, i.e. from 12 to 10 hours per day,

or

Decrease the overall light intensity to the plant, i.e. dim the lights 15%.

Does anyone have experience with one better than the other? Is there an ideal timeframe to begin incrementally decreasing one or both? Or is it just bro science and it's best to crank the lights 100% until the end?

I decrease light intensity, temperature & CO2 PPM during ripening. I find that this provides better quality, more density and helps prevent foxtailing.
Thanks for the reply.

By how much % do you decrease the light intensity, and how many days before harvest do you begin decreasing?
