Decriminalize Marijuana!

when federal agents raid a university resulting in the arrest of 100 fraternity members on campus for high quality home grown marijuana, indeed it is a sad day. one student was hoping to become an agent himself but now that the folks he idolized busted him and his buddies i'm guessing he will change his mind. he will look back at this time in his life and laugh that the man he wanted to be ruined his life even though the future president will decriminalize the shit asap. I just watched the movie "Grass" and it showed the rise of the drug czar under the treasury department of all places. our first war on marijuana was the 1940's marijuana stamp act. The treasury dept. never printed a single stamp even though FDR signed it into existence. so i started looking around for a death resulting from the use of the drug marijuana and could not find a single case. if anyone finds one please post it here. i did find some statistics for drunken students though...
  • Death: Including drunken driving crashes, nearly 1,400 college students pass away annually in accidents stemming from alcohol related incidents.
  • Injury: Besides the nearly 1,400 college students killed annually, over half a million persons between the ages of 18 and 24 suffer unintentional injuries while drinking alcohol.
  • Assault: When assaults occur amongst people aged 18 to 24, nearly six hundred thousand of the incidents involve alcohol.
  • Sexual Abuse: In the average year, above 70,000 college students ages 18-24 become victim of date rape or sexual assault involving alcohol.
  • Unsafe Sex: When alcohol is involved in college student’s sex relations, nearly half a million students reported having unprotected sex, and of those, nearly one hundred thousand students related they were too intoxicated to know if they consented to the sex.
  • Academic Problems: Nearly a quarter of college students relate they have had academic failures and shortcomings due to their drinking including exam failure, lack of attendance, and falling behind in courses.
  • Health Problems/Suicide Attempts: Of all college students, almost one to one and a half percent of students cite they have attempted suicide due in part to their alcohol or drug usage. Nearly 150,000 students begin to feel the affects of alcohol related health issues while in college.
  • Drunk Driving: An estimated over two million college students operated motor vehicles while under the influence of alcohol in the year 2001.
  • Vandalism: Over ten percent of college students who drink alcohol reported having vandalized property while under the affects of alcohol.
  • Property Damage: Property damage is a moderate to major issue at colleges, as over half the schools with heavy drinking levels report these issues.
  • Police Involvement: Annually, over one hundred thousand students are arrested for alcohol-involved crimes. Nearly five to four percent of college students are also simply involved with police or campus law enforcement as a consequence of their alcohol consumption.
  • Alcohol Abuse and Dependence: According to self-reporting questionnaires, college students reported extreme levels of alcohol abuse, and in fact, over thirty percent of the students polled would receive a diagnosis for alcohol abuse and over six percent suffered from alcohol dependence

So i went to the local university hospital and requested to piss dirty for marijuana. I told them i tried to OD on pot by vaping half of my foot long cola. I tried to get it all down but ended up laughing to tears and sleeping like a baby. They put me in a local nut house with all the other crazies where i was held against my will for 7 days until the weed wore off(at least that's what they said) I had a blast tearing down doors and wrestling with the staff. the only down side was being strapped down tight to the table over night. when they let me out i tried to set off every fire alarm i could find but all of them needed keys to activate them. so i tried calling 911 but the phones had been deactivated(how can they do this shit in a free society?!?!?) so with no lawyer and an assigned doctor who kept me on anti psychotics (which i refused to take) i settled in for a nice 7 days where i made my peace with god and decided not to use marijuana until my new doctor is able to prescribe it to me. sadly this means no more grow journals from me but i'll be looking out for all of you. god bless and :peace: out.

~lol~ excellent reporting, Sprouts. :)

When ever the subject of pot comes up in conversations with people I meet, I always tell them that I tried pot once and it made me want to rape and kill. The more stupid among them always say, with an incredulous look on their face: "Really!?" Those who laugh, I know, know the difference.

So i tried to signed myself into the nicest nut house in my area by telling them the same shit i told the hospital and they wouldn't take me, go figure. but i felt i had to be admitted so i could clear my record as the local crazy guy who loves to get himself into trouble. so i told them i drank to much along with my experiences growing up and my time in the marine corp and after waiting a few hours they said i was in.
My social worker was hindu but ironically she had reservations about legalized pot but was very spiritual none the less and between her and a series of psyc tests the only problem they could find is that i liked drinking a half pint of bourbon a little too much. I was surprised cause i thought they'd say i was crazy for wanting to give my four plants to the local sherif so i'd get my day in court. They seemed to hate the alcohol much much worse and tried to get my family to swear out a warrant for alcohol abuse which they didn't of course. and to think i've been trying to prove that not only am i sane but alcohol seems to be much worse than weed for me and they confirmed both of them. so i asked them if they felt alcohol should be illegal again and just as i thought, i got no response...

I also got copies of my records from the original nut house and they seemed to have changed the story of my stay. That's a bold move considering the amount of witnesses but i'm willing to let it go. The main thing is folk are changing their opinion on marijuana which is all i wanted to do in the first place. now to work on some of those politicians trying to run for office this coming election:blsmoke:

Here's one for the records. About a month ago, an off duty cop was speeding and ran a red light in his personal car and maimed two and killed one person. So the immediate police response was he had a diabetic seizure, then no more info untill yesterday. They say they did test his blood 3 days after the accident (Like that would be reasonable, you or I would have had blood drawn at the hospital or the police station immediately as soon as we arrived) and he had Marijuana in it, making it look like it was MJ that caused the accident. Both you and I know that bastard was drunk, which would have been gone in 3 days. This is our wonderful police protection, Bah Humbug. I've seen this crap in Vegas before, when they get to court, they've conveniently lost the evidence, case dismissed.

Cops cover each other's asses all the time. In court, the testimony is called 'testilying.'

They consider us, the average citizen, the enemy. I believe that is part of their doctrine that is known as the 'Thin Blue Line.'
