Deficiency Noobs!! READ FIRST.

i read soo many problems that all relate to the same thing!!

Which is nute lockout/deficiencies. Now any plant food worth its space on a hydro shelf will have everything your plant needs. So when u have these 'deficiencies' showing up, its rare that the plant is deficient of the nutrient, its that its not able to take it up properly..

Which is caused by: Over-feeding, thus causing lock-outs and Incorrect pH thus causing lock-outs and deficiencies

STOP overfeeding ur plants and trying to push them soo hard!

STOP lowering ur lights, i dont care if ur hand isnt burning under the light, be kind and just back it off

STOP adding adding adding when u have a problem, back off..and work backwards (see below)

So to conclude, if u got a problem, and ur too inexperienced to know wot it is:
*Flush
*Re-nute @ lower ppm with pH'd water
*back the lights off

Then when ur dialled in and ur plants are flying u can start to push them along ie; begin to lower the lights, begin upping nutes, squeeze ur nipples etc etc etc...

and PLEASE the time to read and understand the pH table, its quiet simple,.. it shows how ur pH must be right in order for the plant to take up the nute

Hey thanks for sharing the info buddy.

I've almost given up on helping these "noobs". Just getting tired of seeing the same fucking questions asked over and over and over and over ya know?

Let them figure it out on their own.. that's what I'm thinking. If they're too fucking lazy to go out and do their own research.. then let them figure it out on their own you know?

I'm all about helping people, but when people keep asking the same questions over and over and over and over and again.. shit just gets old.

You know what I'm saying??

Either way, thanks for sharing the info buddy.

peace.

is the one on the right for soil and the one on the left for hydro? Also if i am half soil and half coco i should assume the nutrient availability for me would be in between? Just wondering because i have been ph-ing my water and nutes to about 6.3 with this mix but the guy at AN said shoot for 6.O and your chart says that i will lock out Cal and Mag at 6.0 in soil(i am assuming the one on the right is soil). Thanks for the help.

well not to be mean but what other problems could possibly happen with the plants besides bugs and nute problems?

bump........
Someone give this man a Marijuana grow medal. I had a pH imbalance in my hydro DWC grow and my plants where showing signs of nute deficiencies. Not just one particular nute but multiple nutes. I checked the pH of the rez and to my surprise it was over 8.0. I adjusted it down to around 6.0 and now check the pH everyday. THe plants almost literally over night bounced back with new growth. Having the correct pH can save alot of people heartache. In the mindset of Streetlegal, its better to take variables out of the equation and isolate the problem than it is to add variables to the equation complicating a simple problem into a complex one.

These are wise words of advice from streetlegal.

Peace and positive energy to you

I've been unable to find a good post/article on correcting a poor ph'd soil/soilless medium. Once the plants are in it how the hell do you fix your medium?

Im sure alot of people do read those. I did ill be honest i read the crap outta them. I was doing some growing around a year ago and used this site (u guys rock). I forgot mainly everything about nutes. And sometimes pics are just pics and dont give enough detail so the assurance of posting pics and asking feels good. I appreciate that you guys dont rip off our heads even though you want to. When you leave ur place for a couple hours and come back to find your plant looks like it went a week w.o nutes and such thats usually a problem. thats what happened to me. in like 5-6 hours my plant fully changed color from green to greenish yellow n brown with burnt spots. But i got it fixed. I think noobs need to remember things dont happen instantly when you fix the problem with plants. thanks for the helps

THANKS FOR THIS!!!! I had no Idea that some of those nute were only available in the 6.5 range. Which is helpful because I just started flowering. Thanks from a Noob! But unlike SOME of these other noobs on here I actually read and do my homework...YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT HERE ON RIU!!!

Top dress with dolomite lime. Also worming castings and compost teas are great at correcting/balancing a mediums ph.

flush it! ie. starting over.
Thats all you newbs answer. Its either a Magnesium def or you need to flush. Too funny............ Feed, water, water. Feed, water, water. Feed, water, water. Be sure to get at least 10-20% runoff, especially just the straight waterings.

. . . and remember, in your search for knowledge through the knowledge catacombs of the internet, thou shalt not post a question on the forums, lest ye shall be cast down into the pit of noobiness.

To summarize, screw you elitists that are too pro to answer a question that's "been answered a thousand times." If you don't have the time to help, then don't bother to post your rant about it either. How about that?
