My plants seem to be having a little problem. Just though I would try to tackle it before it becomes a big one.

Any ideas on whats happening. Ive got some pictures of the leaves in question.

In case you cant see very well, that colour is a very dark brown slash bronze? it appears to be speckling in slowly. that one large leave is one of the oldest fan leaves from the main stem. the one that still has alot of green on it is from one of the first nodes that comes out, and is from 1/3 the way up that branch. there are about half a dozen other leaves around the same area of the plant exhibiting the problems.

Also I noticed lots of stems going reddish purple? same colour as greener one in the pictures.

Im used botanicare 3-2-4 for veg, using 2.5-2-5 for flowering now. Shes about 42 days into flowering.
Watering with tap water sitting over night.

Any help appreciated +rep

the yellowing is an N def which is perfectly normal this far into flower. some people up their N to correct this some dont. the reddish stems with the blotching at the veins could be a sign of a mag def. look in the grow faq under plant problems for some pics of defs. to help you out.:joint:

Yeah if the larger leaves are yellow and the smaller ones are green then it is definitely a nitrogen deficiency. You can add nitrate of soda or organic fertilizer.
but since the larger ones are turning greyish at the edges I think it may also be a potassium deficiency rather that a magnesium deficiency....

The N def (to some extent) and the brown spots are caused by a pH lock out. Your soil is probably not in the right pH range, and the water may not be helping, since tap water is usually around or over 7. Get some pH down from a pet store (sold for aquariums) in order to lower the soils pH.

Do not add any nutes til you fix the pH problem because there may be alot of them stocked up in the soil and the moment you fix the pH, they might start burning your plant.
