Defoliation

I honestly like the look of a trimmed plant more but defoliation and yield should never be in the same sentence unless it's to say defoliation will decrease yields. If you hate popcorn nugs than defoliation is a great way to never see them but that to me is a huge waste too.

I make canna butter out of the popcorn nugs and it's strong af, the amount of people that have greened out on my brownies goes to show popcorn nugs can be super useful and effective too.

In saying all that I will stress that "pruning" can be a necessity if you're having trouble keeping humidity down. It will hurt your plant but will ensure it makes it to the end without running into mold issues. The alternative is to increase calcium uptake to the point where the plants replace the water in the interstitial with calcium pectate. Plants virtually become mold resistant and you can get away with zero pruning in a tent.

I agree, and I let the bottom larfy buds grow for the same reason. When I first started growing I used to also chop up the fan leaves and stems to use for butter. You need to use a LOT more, by weight, but you can still make potent butter from that. IIRC, the last time I made butter with fan leaves and stems I used 4X the usual weight I use for flower. Some guy on Reddit told me I was either lying or that everyone who got high off it was experiencing a placebo effect.

That would be one hell of a placebo effect for everyone who consumed edibles made from 6 pounds of butter, over months and months of making them, to feel high every time they ate them.

Thanks GJ
I vegged 12 weeks, way to long, but worth it.
I didn't have room in the flower room so I topped her 2x to slow her down til there was space for her.
