2 nights prior to harvest...half way thru it last 'day cycle', then 36 hrs total darkness...nugs are getting some real pretty colors...nute withholding at the end brings out the best in a nug...got the yellowing just reaching the tops (perfect), and phosphorus deficiency brings out any purple characteristics it MAY have...but, this strain has complex smells, colors and tastes (did a little sample)...gonna be a nice addition...if it yields good, I will grow a few, if not, at least 1 stash plant...YT20170203_025153-1-1(1).jpg

Bottom nug of Delicious Candy finished and properly dried...I see they RIU is having imave issues but maybe it will show when the issue is fixed...Very frosty, oily, resinous buds...HEAVY for their size (average)...It does get a lot of budding sites, so it will probably yield well (trimming tmrw)...has a unique smell, taste and buzz....
my circle of ppl calling it green ecstasy....it will be a novelty around here, not your standard stoned to the bone, red eye buzz....puts you in happy places you didnt know u had...I have smoked for 48 yrs and grown for 36 yrs and never smoked anything quite like it...refreshing change....NICE!!....error occured trying to even just upload pic...I will post one later...YT

Gues RIU still having picture issues....I was gonna up date the last post with the associated picture of my single Delicious Candy plant...It got trimmed up earlier and yielded 121 gms...its was prunned to 6 tops and was approx. 35 inches tall average...I have 12 plants in a 4ft by 5ft space....each in a #2 container....so it occupied a a little more than a sqft of space...a tomatoe cage keeps the branches up right and serves as an excellent structure to tie to...that gives a mental picture of about the size of it....It OUT YEILDED each of my 2 Incredible Bulk plants by about and ounce...same prunning and space...So, I am VERY HAPPY with the results...for only having one seed to start (a freebee), I consider myself lucky, cause the odds were against me to get a plant with SO MANY great characteristics...

Wanted to bump this and see if anyone is still growing the cheese candy? I got this stuff from the dispensary a few months ago and the smell fuckin blew me away. Tasted very sweet, floral, and cheesy. My beans will be here tomorrow. Just looking to know what to expect. I wanted regs but could only get ahold of fems. Gonna veg till old enough to take clones then flower and narrow down the best tasting one.

Not growing it any more but was for about 2 yrs....friend has my cutting of it now...I'm always searching for a new amazing pheno of something.....I LOVE IT.....Super smell, complex, colorful, RESINOUS....Buzz from the one I kept was almost psychodelic, and distorted reality.....hard to explain cause never had one with a high anything like it....Really different from a standard indica OR sativa high...STRONG....it was also a freebee seed...Rarely do I get one or two seeds and get lucky enuf to find a gem...She was one of them...But YEAH, have fun with her....Not sure how stable the seed groups will be since is a mix of MANY strains...The lineage is wild if you look it up...takes a cpl pages to list all the influences in it...Hopefully you find a keeper in there....YT

Yea, im gonna be pheno hunting this one out for a while, I wanted regs but didnt want to deal with international shipping right now so fems it is. Its hard to believe this strain doesn't get more attention. One of the most unique and satisfying smokes i've had to date. I've had a good number of cheese crosses but this is the only one that truly came across as cheesy tasting. And the smell is out of this world. I didn't find the batch I had to be super potent, but that's really what im looking for. It was a very relaxing social buzz, but yes it was slightly psychedelic and very euphoric from what i remember.

After decades of hunting for the best of the best, you realize its not so much the NAME applied to a strain, but the individuals you MIGHT find that are worthy......You may find a GEM in a groups of seeds listed as 17% THC that CRUSHES the quality of any you find in a group listed as 24%THC (or higher)....There are so many genetic possibilities of pheno types in most strains, that one plant could be almost useless while another blows your mind in the same strain seed order...So many cannabinoids need to 'align' to make that special pheno...I've always said that buying seeds is like playing scratch-off lotto tickets....ONLY SOMETIMES you get lucky, but most are losers...One of my favorite cuts right now is a Bubble Bomb (from Bomb seeds)....cross of old school Indiana Bubblegum and THC Bomb, which is their signature strain....AMAZING...Hardly anyone recognizes the name Bubble Bomb, but it was a seed where all the stars aligned perfectly...LOL...I also tried a half dozen of their THC Bomb (sig strain) and got nothing but crap!.....Stars didnt align....Someone else might find their GEM in that strain....That Delicious Candy has a LOT of excellent lineage and I happened to get one where a large number of the best traits showed themself....I could give you a dozen more examples I found over the years, but I sure this makes the point I'm trying to achieve.....MOST strains these days have the potential of producing a gem.....You just need some luck.....Use to be an unwritten rule that a hundred female seeds needed to be cracked (within a given strain) to find that perfect one that TRULY represents that strain...I dont think that number in unreasonable either....I'm a picky SOB, so that number makes sense to me....You'll find some that are good and even really good, BUT, its not that GEM that exists somewhere in their genetics....HAPPY HUNTING, YT

Thank you good sir. I'm gonna be hunting these for a while. Probably the best and most underrated cheese cross in my opinion.

I have to agree with you opinion about it being an under rated cheese cross...Its the Camarillo that probably defined the perfect union with a good Cheese cutting...Someone had a good plan.....Put on the drool bag...LOL....I tell you what, I always put all my buds in 1qt mason jars, at 1oz a jar, And popping a lid off of a jar of that strain, gets EVERYONES attention in the room....WOW!!! such a deep, complex, sweet, rich, EVERYTHING smell...Yet you can still make out the crosses in most cases....
Post up your findings if you get a good pheno....Love to hear about it...BIG FAN of it myself, and thanks for getting my salivation glands going again...Soon as I read your post, it got me going....GOOD THING, is I STILL have access to my old cutting a friend has kept going....I see a jar trade in the near future...LOL...YT

Dude when I picked that shit up from the dispensary it had my mouth watering. I literally couldn't keep my nose outta the jar the whole way home. These idiots quick cure and auto trim all their shit, so I cant even imagine how amazing it tastes and smells with a proper cure and without being trimmed to hell. I soaked all 5 beans yesterday and just checked em a minute ago. All 5 have popped.
