original is here. i made small revisions.
first note that when you make cannabutter you will likely only get a 50-60% return in butter mass from the original stick. the original stick contains water so be extra scrupolous in washing your pot with more hot water and saveing this water to gather the butter leftover.
but you know how to make cannabutter so ill shut up.
THIS IS FOR BLACK LICORICE SO FUCK YOU RIGHT?
mmm beer
Makes 20 pieces
8 tablespoons unsalted cannabutter made from 21 grams of your favorite (im using viper city OG 13th) Note: you may need to use two sticks of butter to achieve one stick of butter in return. always weigh what you have to see if you have enough butter to be cooking with!! 14g = 1T butter!!! 8*14=112grams of butter total
T plain butter for greasing the pan
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup amber agave nectar
1/2 cup sweetened condensed chocolate milk
2-4 tablespoons molasses (blackstrap or regular; i omitted this by accident. oops)
Pinch of kosher salt
12 tablespoons whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon black food coloring
2 tablespoon anise extract
first grease a large piece of parchment paper.
1) Melt cannabutter
2) Mix in sugar, molasses, agave and salt
3) Bring to a boil on low and progressively bring the heat to medium as you increase the temperature so 240F which is soft ball phase of the sugar.
4) When you get to 240F take it off the heat and mix in the flour and food coloring. This should take 20-30 minutes to get to if you don't rush into the medium heating.
5) When these are mixed in, mix in the anise extract. this is added last because it is suspended in ethanol. You'll see it boil on top the hot sugar loaf. Mix while it's wet!! but dont worry if if boils off, the oils will remain.
6) Pour over the greased parchment paper
7) Fold over frequently, like, as if you are kneading dough. Use the paper it is laying on to protect your hands from the licorice. It'll be real hot and you may be seeing some dry looking spots. This is why you are kneading it around, to homogenize the consistency back into licorice.
Flatten it out too cool in the fridge faster and evenly. A rolling pin or textbook works of course.
Should make 40 stoned servings if done right.
mine weighed 600g when finished and cooled. so 15g is a serving.
600/40=15
happy halloween!
mine came out dry dont go above 240!!!!
