Democraps on taxes. Too much will never be enough.

You're so full of crap. When have I ever supported higher taxes? EVER. NAME 1 TIME! I think you hit your head on the pavement too many times. Every time you post something its about republicans. Why are you so filthy flippin retarded? How can you be so stupid that you STILL don't know the difference between a conservative and a republican?
you were lead cheerleader for romney and ryan last year, so you're a republican.

the republicans tried to block the payroll tax cut so that they could erase their massive deficits on the backs of low skill wage slaves like you.

on the other hand, the democrats have only lowered your taxes. you got massive tax breaks from the ARRA (all democrat votes + 1 single republican vote), plus you saved about $1000 a year via the payroll tax cut.

there are also massive tax subsidies in the PPACA so that low skill wage slaves like you can afford health insurance more easily than before.

you're welcome.

Massive tax breaks? Most people got next to nothing from ARRA--$400 and that's it. What massive tax breaks are you talking about?

plus you saved about $1000 a year via the payroll tax cut.
Once again, that payroll tax cut was furthering the insolvency of social security, which is why it was only supposed to be temporary. Extending it forever would only deprive people of future benefits.

there are also massive tax subsidies in the PPACA so that low skill wage slaves like you can afford health insurance more easily than before.

Accomplished by imposing new taxes on medical devices, reducing tax deductions for medical expenses, imposing huge new taxes on existing health insurance, and cutting huge amounts of money from Medicare.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Recovery_and_Reinvestment_Act_of_2009#Tax_incentives

[h=4]Tax incentives for individuals[/h] Total: $237 billion

  • $116 billion: New payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010. Phaseout begins at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers.[SUP][24][/SUP]
  • $70 billion: Alternative minimum tax: a one-year increase in AMT floor to $70,950 for joint filers for 2009.[SUP][24][/SUP]
  • $15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
  • $14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
  • $6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[SUP][38][/SUP]
  • $4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
  • $4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit — which provides money to low income workers — for families with at least three children.
  • $4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
  • $1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.
[h=4]Tax incentives for companies[/h] Total: $51 billion

  • $15 billion: Allowing companies to use current losses to offset profits made in the previous five years, instead of two, making them eligible for tax refunds.
  • $13 billion: to extend tax credits for renewable energy production (until 2014).
  • $11 billion: Government contractors: Repeal a law that takes effect in 2012, requiring government agencies to withhold three percent of payments to contractors to help ensure they pay their tax bills. Repealing the law would cost $11 billion over 10 years, in part because the government could not earn interest by holding the money throughout the year.
  • $7 billion: Repeal bank credit: Repeal a Treasury provision that allowed firms that buy money-losing banks to use more of the losses as tax credits to offset the profits of the merged banks for tax purposes. The change would increase taxes on the merged banks by $7 billion over 10 years.
  • $5 billion: Bonus depreciation, which extends a provision allowing businesses buying equipment such as computers to speed up its depreciation through 2009.

Trying to remove Obama from office was no easy task. History proves it. I won't vote for another establishment Republican. That's a promise. Romney doesn't speak for conservatives, any more than Obama now speaks for Democrats. His approval rating has tanked, and is a direct reflection of how he is handling the government's obligation of continued resolution.(childish and arrogant) Anybody who says otherwise is deemed a racist by you; the supreme white person above all other white people.

so the conservatives have a hissy fit and refuse to fund government unless the PPACA is repealed, but it's the democrats who are being childish?

i think it's more childish to deny cancer treatments to children because you can't repeal the PPACA legislatively, but that's just me.

why are you guys arguing with bucky?

if you make more than the minimum needed to qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, then you are morally, ethically and intellectually superior to bucky, by his own estimation and thus, you automatically win.

So let me see if I understand you correctly. Democrat senate plus Democrat president plus Republican house = Republican deficits. Does that mean Democrat president + Republican senate and house = Republican surpluses in the 1990s?

Tax incentives for individuals

  • [Refund to a very limited number of people who paid no tax] $15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
  • [Applicable only to families with students in college and/or college students with no income] $14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
  • [First time home buyers only--tiny group] $6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[SUP][38][/SUP]
  • [Very few people were getting such benefits] $4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
  • [Again, money to people not paying taxes] $4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit — which provides money to low income workers — for families with at least three children.
  • [Available only to homeowners who can afford to spent $1,500 to get a $450 tax benefit] $4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
  • [Only available to new car buyers.] $1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.

Tax incentives for companies

[You didn't mention companies, so I don't see why you bothered to paste this.]
Again, this is what you claimed: "the republicans, however, have voted against the tax cuts you got in the ARRA..." As I stated, the vast, vast majority of people in this country qualified for only one of the tax benefits you just listed: the one time per person payment at the very top. And many of the "tax cuts" were handouts of money to people who already don't pay taxes, thus they were not tax cuts at all.

Why don't we conduct a poll on this board right now to make this point? How many of us benefited from ARRA? I got the $400 payroll tax credit and some portion of the education credit. Of course, I didn't make enough money that year to owe any federal income tax, so the latter wasn't a "tax cut," it was a government handout.

You want to know how you can be sure I'm right? Look at how high the expense is for the per person credit that everyone qualified for; now look at everything else: tiny amounts of money relative to that $400 per person credit.

your assertion that i "make minimum wage" is ridiculous.

of course if the new minimum wage in calif does get raised to $10 an hour as they seem to plan in the capitol, i will STILL be making more (just slightly) than the minimum, which will result in a massive pay cut for me and everybody else who makes more than the minimum.

you have already firmly established that making less money than you means i am unqualified to speak, this has been your standard line of attack for some months now.

you cannot backpedal your way out of this conclusion

curiously i dont get shit from the EIC and i actually have to PAY taxes, thus i do therefore make more than you, so therefore i am your moral ethical and intellectual superior, thus your comments are MOOT!

In oregon if you make less than 9500.00 per year its free..So that makes Buck golden...
meanwhile in California:

our democrat dominated legislature and Governor Moonbeam (yes, the same asshat from the 70's...) have slashed funding to K-12 schools, community colleges, state universities, Medi Cal(california's medicare program) Food Stamps, WIC, public employee pensions, indigent healthcare and nutrition programs, homeless shelters, the state "employment development dept" (thats newspeak for the unemployment office), veterans homes, elderly care programs, meals on wheels, inner city youth programs, and everything else they could slash to "encourage" the poor to support their new Eat The Rich tax scheme, and even started looking into Private Prisons through Wackenhut, all so they could fund a silly toy train between LA and SF with NO stops in between.

and liberalism shows it's true face, fascism.

...they can't take away your intellect or your integrity brother and those qualities are obvious in your posts, ...fwiw you have earned my respect, and not just in the consistency of your arguments but maybe even more for your tolerance of the chuckleheads who so vociferously spew their ignorance, i personally stay away as much as i can because i have no patience for the militantly ignorant and so i find myself sometimes drawn in and i become more ignorant than i like, i have no desire to sink to that level and so i applaud you for your ability to posit cogent arguments to counter the willful, liberal ignorance.

...frankly though, i think you're pissing in the wind because i don't believe there is anything you can say that will sink beneath the koolaid deeply enough to find the few remaining rational brain cells, ...and victimhood is very appealing to the weak willed, it's very comforting to know in your heart that it's not your fault, it's the evil Republicans fault, lol.

so does public education, but i bet you can't name a powerful nation that doesn't have public education.

i guess you just haven't had an original thought since the cold war ended.

by the way, we won the cold war and the communists have no political power in america. you can stop all your whining too.

You are correct nearly ALL the present governments rely on a mandatory indoctrination of nationalism via coercive "education". Nearly all countries burned witches in 1600 too, so the fact that something is done by a number of entities in the past or present does not validate that it is the best way to continue to do things in the future does it?

Prussian school much comrade?
