I gotta say Charlie is right it does show how the left blew this way out of proportion and mislead people to some degree as the plan really isn't as bad as people make it out, its an ambitious and gutsy plan for sure I agree and I don't really like it, If we really want to save money we should stop the wars and the corporate criminals, that's a good start.

It's funny, because if you go through the plan yourself - you'd find that pretty much everything the Democrats are saying is true. Sure, you can completely end medicare and replace it with a voucher system - but dont call it medicare, because it isn't.

Furthermore, even when completely ignoring that the entire plan is dishonest (it wont even reduce the deficit), it ignores the fundamental problem with our healthcare system - healthcare costs (not excessive benefits, as the Republicans would have you believe). The bill only shifts costs, it does not eliminate them, or bend the curve at all... Leaving those least able to afford care, without care - defeating the entire purpose of the program in the first place.

Do tell or give an example of how people were mislead about this plan...it is what it is....a bad plan...Ryan’s savings all come from cuts, and at least two-thirds of them come from programs serving the poor whilst the rich meanwhile, would see their taxes lowered, and the Defense Department would remain untouched. How was this blown out of proportion ????? How are people being mislead ?????

Its either fix the system or abandon it. Which do you prefer?
I prefer to fix it. Which is why I and most Americans are against Republicans' attempt to abandon it. You are falling for the "War for Peace" chant. You are supporting the dismantling and abandonment of a pillar of American society under the guise of saving it.

I have to wonder what tune you were singing while the Democrats were working to FIX the problem a bit by passing HC reform which has reforms to cut spending on Medicare. The plan you support kills Medicare. Buries it. That's not saving anything my friend. End Bush's Tax Cuts. They failed.

I want to ask the republicans the interpretation of Medicare? Medical fucking care. Under the Ryan plan insurance companies can deny you coverage if you have a pre existing condition.

tax the rich, end the war, end the war on fucking drugs... sounds like greed to me, greed from the insurance companies to lobby politicians to bad mouth and misrepresent Medicare.

Yep they are misleading people, heres why the "good" Mr. Ryan wants to scrap Medicare/Medicaid and privatize it: $1,142,560

"[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]According to Opensecrets.org, the insurance industry has been Ryan’s top contributor over the course of his entire career. Since 1989, Ryan has raised $475,401 from insurance interests. Add in the money from health professionals ($258,240), Big Pharma ($155,392), hospitals and nursing homes ($136,577) and health services/HMOs ($116,950)

You are right about stopping the "corporate criminals", how about we start w/ Mr. Ryan, hes obviously a tool for the insurance industry, and well; just a tool in general
