Thanks everyone. I've sprayed my plants today withe neem. Still pretty wet, but they have 6.5 hours to dry before lights-on. Will let you know how it works out.

Yea I been dealing with mildew, it sucks. That Neem stinks huh. I used it for spidermites.
On another note, I think you should bend the two tallest plants over, kinda cross them.
If the stalks are real stiff you can do it a little at a time. Then you could lower you light
a few inches and get more lumens to the lower buds.
Ya, I think I just may do that. My issue currently is that a couple of the colas are so damn tall, I have to remove the plants from the cabinet to water. If I can lean/bend them enough to get my shelf back in there for watering, it may work. We'll see.

I spent a while tonight cutting off any remaining rust-colored spot I could find. So far it is hitting two of my plants pretty hard and the third one just barely. The buds don't seem to be affected though, just the leaves. So that's good. I wish it were just the fan leaves, those are easy to cut off.. the sugar leaves that are intertwined with the buds are a pain.

So, I should be able to tell fairly easily over the next few days if the neem did the trick. If I continue to see spots appear, I'll do one more spray in 7 days and then tough it out till the end by chopping leaves as needed.

I'm still not sold that neem will fix this problem, but I don't think it could hurt. My prior grows had this problem too so next grow I'll use it 3-4 times starting a couple weeks before switching to 12/12 to see if I can prevent the problem.

Did week 5 Flower nutes tonight. The colas are fattening up and I'm starting to see some of the white hairs turn brownish here and there. I've never taken a grow all the way... if the colas are this fat at week 5, I can't imagine what another 4-5 weeks will do to them. Getting pretty excited :weed:

Ya, in the past I could never hold out. Always broke down and harvested early... Usually very early. Once I get my first harvest, I'm hoping it'll be enough to carry me through the following couple of months while I flower my next grow. If I can do that, I should get ahead and won't look back.

Your cab is comming together.

This will be interesting to see, I am wondering if there is enough photosynthesis happening on the remaining fan leaf to fatten up those colas. It would be great if they didnt need them.

Ya, that is a concern of mine too. This strain is supposed to naturally shed the majority of their leaves in late flower so I'm hoping it will continue to progress. One of the plants hasn't really been affected and therefore still has a good amount of leaves compared to the other. Should be a good comparison.

So the one plant that hasn't been impacted by the "brown stuff" is still chugging along just great. The 6 colas are fattening up nicely and I don't see any spots like on the other two. I chopped the one that was really bad last week. I tell myself I was preventing it from spreading, but I didn't have anything to smoke at the time so you do the math :). The remaining plant with the spots is certainly not progressing as much as the healthy one. As cruzer noted, I think it's partly due to the limited amount of fan leaves left. I just may chop this one early also. My next round should be ready to move to flower in the next week or so.

Well, if nothing else, consider it as a learning experience, if nothing else you've proven to yourself what a bad idea it is to remove fan leaves (one of the bigger arguements here). And you'll still have bud to contemplate it with!

Indeed. The point of this grow was to harvest enough to get me through the next grow without picking at it. The potency has increased dramatically from last week and I expect weeks 7-9 it will continue along with putting on bud weight. So with that in mind, I think I'll make my goal.

Congrats bud.

Be sure to keep us posted on this grow. I would love to be able to pull off all the fan leaf I want and not wonder about it.

I got antsy and chopped my second plant. Smokes pretty good for being so early and not curing properly. The third plant is still going strong. I'm starting to see dead spots on the leaves but I'm just going to let it do it's own thing through the original harvest time. I've been looking at pictures and it seems that most people have dead leaves on their plants and just let them do their thing.

Also - just for my own notes: I moved my 10 Super Bud to 12/12 today. Need to get something to put them on so they're closer to the light in my cabinet.

Note to self: watered SuperBuds with 1st week flower nutes. Built a shelf to bring them up closer to the 400. Need to add one more shelf. 4 in the 400 cab and 6 in the 250 tent.
