design cab plan

what do you guys think about this design?

You will need to get a piece of plywood as the back is made from cheap hard cardboard. I got the same one and wasnt happy about that, and i still havent put it up cause i dont have a truck to get a piece of plywood. Of course i might be setting mine up differently than u so u might not need the plywood.

yea the back is total crap...the quality of the cabinet overall isnt good after all the shelves are taken out. They create a lot of internal support.

I loaded the thing with screws to help support it..a corner actually chipped off while I was doing this and I drilled a 1/4" thick screw into my finger. Its nasty and pussing ^.^

Im going to probably get 3/4" or 1"thick plywood when I get the chance and have a buddy to help me( the thing weights 200lbs)

im also using silicone around the edges to make sure its light tight.


Can you tell me about your design?

My cabinet will be primarily a flower cabinet, but it is for all stages really. Im not cloning right now so i just start from seed since i have like 20 femenized kush seeds. I am planning on doing 2 or 3 at a time in 2 or 3 gallon DWC buckets ( i have both 2 and 3 gal.) with drains and scrog screen for each plant. I will have a 400 watt hps with a 6 inch cooltube and a 6 inch inline duct booster fan with a 430 watt agrosun bulb. I use a hydrofarm 265 cfm blower and 4"x20" inch carbon filter for exhaust. I also use the complete lineup of foxfarm hydro. I used to have a design of the cabinet from ms paint, but i lost it when i had to reload windows.

looks good just make sure you give it a good test run to see if it gets to hot

I would get rid of those 90* angles and put the filter on one end of the cooltube and the fan at the exhaust opening, blowing out. The filter will scrub the passive air.
