Design for a Room

Hey to all.

I have been browsing these forums for a few months now and am thankful for the wealth of knowledge available.

I need some feedback on a design for a room, it will be soil based.

I am relatively new to most of this so all criticism's are welcomed.

Well, if you want my two cents...

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a 1000w for mothers dearest. If you have the coin, buy some 4ft t5s. You won't regret it, it cheaper in the long run and it is a nice easy light. Also I would jam more plants in your main growing space. With 4 1000ws you could easily do 25 huge plants (5x5). Should be a dream grow though with all that space and materials.

1600 total watts on mother and clones?

WOW for one...the clones cant take all that light stress...you may kill them with that much


and why are you trying to have soo many damn lights....4 1k plus 1600 watts.....

Here's some food for though also.. I agree use something much smaller like maybe a 250wMH or a few cfls for the mothers.... But in the main room.. 4x1000w will probably run you around $800/900 month.. My last electricity bill was close to $700 with 3x1000 2 6"ecotech exahust fans, etcetcetc...needless to say next grow Im switching to one 1000w..

I have the electricity issue sorted out already so that is no problem there in relation to cost.

So a 250w MH will be sufficient for the mother and cloning area? Also, at what points and angle would you suggest placing some fans for airflow.

250 should be good.. I have my fans about midleverl with my plants.. I have three fans in my growrooms..12x15x8..one up two feet from the roof and the other two midlevel.. and I have two exhaust fans two lights hooked to one and one light to the other fan.. I really like that design you have. I wanted to do something similar but just ended up using a walkin for the mother/clone/veg area

mrjay some good advise, no way should you attemp this huge project without first making a small successful grow for your personal stash to make sure you learn everything you need to before spending all this money and shit.

just saying this cuz its easy to grow but you need the expiriance of at least one successful harvest under you belt. you got some stuff to learn, like not needing so much light for mom and other stuff. check out the grow faq above also.

start small and build upon success. i tell you this from my own expiriance spent and wasted a lot of money gettin it right you know.

also are you planning on doing this in a house or apartment?

you dont want you electric bill to spike suspiciously all of a sudden just in case.

but if this is an apartment then you prolly will get cought trying to do it that big in an APT

how much would you like your yeild to be every 2 months?

It will be in a house.

With this setup I would be hoping to yield 10lbs every 3 months.

Like I have said previously I have the electricity issue sorted, so this is not a concern.

cool sounds like you got your head about you. just remeber your first mistake will be a big one cuz you gonna have so many plants, good luck. i yeilded 1lb from a 400watt light my first grow so its not like its rocket science
