Designated grower seeking, patients

Now I'm not stupid and I know that dispensaries have to get their supply from somewhere and if it's not LP's then it's definitely BM, so.....why isn't there a place for LP's to produce the product for dispensaries? This is what I mean by a place for everyone.

LPs already charge too much....now put the dispensary in between the patient and the meds....the system in place is/working (as in the BM)...there was no need for LPs...they should have left it to the small time producers...ma and pa....but nooooo....control, regulate, tax....

Haha. If you think there's any chance of legalization by leaving the BM in place you're fucking dreaming. Also, it's called wholesale. LP's will have to play the market game like any other business. Black market needs to go but the only way that will happen is when everyone starts playing nice and fair.

Also, I'm including the public as a whole, seeing that legalization is coming. Dispensaries can cater to both medical and recreational, with the difference being the rates, or coverage...maybe subsidies of some sort. Either way, there will be so much demand that dispensaries will be crying for supply. Where do you think they'll get it then? Mom and pop? Hells Angels?

There seemed to be enough supply before the LPs came along.
Are you talking black market again? Knock it off. You can't have black market product in a legal market. It'll never fly. As far as enough product for "dispensaries"? How many more do you think will open up once legalization kicks in knowing how many are tempting it now, which isn't a whole lot considering the grand scheme. Again...who's going to supply the retailers, other than LP's (because for sure there will be other retailers in the end), your black market? The mob? BC hillbillies? C'mon...get real. We are going to need big scale producers to meet demand in the future. When they start playing nice and stop bad mouthing the OG's of the cannabis culture then I'll start respecting them, but you still have to respect that there's going to be a need for them. Maybe setting up for legalization was the end game, not simply providing medical patients. That's thinking small and short sighted.

I think the day of buying your weed in ziplock bags is nearing an end. Branding, packaging, marketing. That's going to be the new norm for cannabis now.

Uhmmm...NO. She's talking bout ma & pa black market growers becoming LEGAL suppliers. The cannabis community has the skills and experience only generations of growing can provide. LP's will never be able to reproduce the quality in a factory. Their roll will be to supply new patients and weekend tokers with over-priced schwagg until they become wise to the scam. Alcohol isn't limited to a few government chosen producers...why is that? Could the fact that booze is LEGAL have something to do with allowing all interested parties to go into business? Gee...I wonder how they are going to forbid any Canadian from participating in a legal cannabis market? That pesky charter! Try to name a retail product that has it's manufacturers hand-picked by government with exclusive production and distribution rights...why would cannabis be the one exception?

can you buy illegal cigs? yes you can and their legal so your arguement is flawed.
can you buy moonshine? yes and again alcohol is legal..even when something is legal doesn't mean we will buy or use.
there will never be a need for LP's unless they up their game and get a good clean product without irradiating or using pesticides. if they can do it right, maybe folks will look at them and decide but they way it is right now, there's no way myself or a lot of folks here will give them any love.
when we are forced into something we fight back but if we're attracted to it, we will look.
you say who will supply-there's lots of ma & pa growers who would be more than happy and who also have a great clean product.
these LP's have only been around a few years so how do you think they have it all together? they haven't figured out how to grow in large rooms or they wouldn't need to use the stuff they do.
who needs to go to LP's if we get better product by doing it ourselves?
If i can get a good product for a decent price-as in the BM-then i will. when LP's open their eyes and think about affordability, they might get some love too but all they want is churn and burn. get it grown and out there, who cares...and that's the wrong attitude.
give some love to get some love

Hmmm maybe folks forget but the bm has kept everyone in Canada supplied this long. And those same people were the ones fighting to even get mj viewed as a medicine before delusions of grandeur and greed. Now suddenly there isn't going to be enough weed?
Does anyone truly believe there are millions of closeted people dying to try mj but won't til it's "legal?"

Lps had the perfect opportunity to crush the bm but instead worried about stock markets bmw's and profit. Can't shit the bed then complain bout your shitty sheets.

Thats the thing...most DG's are not making money off the sick, and there's enough supply around now you wont stay in business if your product is sub par.

You can go buy a medical document, get licensed. I see that as playing the game not hiding. The best part is anyone can play.
I get that and yeah playing the game as an individual is one thing, the ops post sure seemed to indicate more than a patient/DG growing some extra and offering to be a DG.

@The Hippy i agree with you, but thing is Ive got a spine injury so i use extract plant material and it yields about 8-10% then i infuse it in a creame so i can toppically apply it to my back.

I do not want to sell the BM or an LP, i simply i want to do my own shit, and if it does indeed become recreational in 2018 then i will consider growing more plants but im happy just to do it for myself and friends and family :)

If 1 were to drive around GTA to walk in clinics they will find a doc who signs. I've had to go to 2 walk ins, 1 in brampton and 1 in orangeville both had pamphlets for medical marijuana. I believe it was LP, bring 150$ you should be fine with the sample document. I didn't use them I use my own doc. I became his patient while I was MMAR so he listens to me but sent my wife to a canna clinic for dosing and got 4gpd, he pushed LP my wife pushed back and got the form signed for free.
