Soil: Homemade mix of organic veggie-soil (soil + organics), perlite & some pine bark.

Since i obviously was way worse with plants then i assumed when i first started this project, i'm in urgent need of help.

Somehow i have managed to keep my Loweryder #2 alive for almost half a year (yes) without her flowering. Now she is a big nice bush and looks like shes ready to flower any day.

After my last feed she looked nice but started turning a bit light in the growth, stupid as i am i tried to save the situation with feeding her a small doze of organic nutrients (slightly stronger mixed then usually).

Now she looks dried out and ready to die. Since i already lost a flowering regular (3 months old) plant a week ago i'm quite desperate.

I tested the PH of the soil with PH7-7.2 water, mixed with 50% soil and then the run-off had PH6-6.2. I do have issues with my soil being a bit sour, could this be the issue?

When pulling her out of the pot, 6-10 adult gnats took of, could it be these bastards?

Did i overwater her? Could it be nutrient burn? Or all together?

Now i'm not sure if to leave her alone, flush her soil, flush her with water and hydrogen peroxide to get rid of any gnat larva?

i had one veg for about 3-4 months it was also a monster
different strain dropped some bloom nutes on it and it took off
what is your lighting schedule did you try 12/12 ? if it didnt fire off yet i would say faulty genetics
but yes if you have a foul smell of any kind im assuming thats what the sour comment was about then i would say root rot probably has ran its course
pine bark is horrible about letting acid loose when it breaks down im suprised your PH isnt way way low if its cooked for this long
the clawed leaves are showing a N tox

Simple way to check for root aphids. At the base of the pot put down a couple good size strips of duct tape adhesive side up (they are attracted to the adhesive). Wait 12-24 hours and check the tape. You will know if you have them...

To get rid of them it is simple, sell all your equipment, get rid of all soil and plants, then move to a new place. Maybe you will get rid of them. Sorry couldn't resist, they are the worst possible pest ever.

If the pear shaped little fuckers in the soil, aint fat siblings to the cute little white slim ones that i cant remember the name of, then im quite sure i got these bastards...

No wonder my clones wont last many days!

Damn damn damn damn. Hydrogen peroxide-time?

Awesome mate!
I'm really not sure still, if i have them, i've only seen them as super juvenile. 1mm long yellowish pear shaped buggers running around in the soil.

I'm quite sure i got Gnats and havent seen adult root aphids yet. Going up for some cleaning and researching right away.

This helps means so much! Thanks guys. <3

Do some reading up on them if you have them. Never heard of anyone using H2o2 successfully. Many different opinions and very different approaches in flower vs veg. I have knocked them back with pyrethrin and with SNS203 during early flower. Orthene is what many people use in veg.

I am shutting down my grow for the summer in hopes of killing them

Edit: the "dual exhaust" on their rear is the tell tale sign for a RA. If you have a scope try to see if they have them. Sounds like you do to me...

check what thrips look like while your at it then you will cover most of your bases and know for the future

this is the main problem with bringing outside / garden soil into your indoor grow

i put everything im bringing inside in a black trash bag in direct sunlight for a few days to try and cook the little buggers out
just in case it might have something in it

The " a bit light in the growth" fix seemed to be the beginning of the demise of your plant. How did the roots look when you pulled the plant? If it was aphids or gnats the roots would look like shit, almost literally. I vote on nute toxicity, which means flush or repot. I would go for a repot into a larger container personally, losing as much of the old soil as possible. Second point is that plant is not an auto if it hasn't finished yet. Go 12/12 now. I am curious as to what the strain is, because you have essentially vegged a plant for 24 weeks ( holly shit, batman). I hope you get it straightened out. Peace

" sour soil " that comment leads me to believe he has a root issue

stupid question what color is your planter ?

Thank you so much everyone!

The pear-buggers i have doesnt really look like the root aphids? They got more of a smooth orangy pear body, cant recon any dual ass pipes.

Thing is, her sister, vegged for 5months before she went into flower, in 20/4.
Now shes 7 months and ready for harvest any day, no where in hell close to the same size as this one though (this is my FIRST plant and i started in October). Now you understand at what level i abuse these poor ladies.

Yes, this one is almost 6 months of vegg, 3 times as big as the regulars ive been vegging for 3 months...
Hence i REALLY dont want to fuck her up...

Since i killed my 4 weeks into flower Caramel kush with perfect leaves last week, im starting to get a nervous breakdown.
When i finally thought i had it under decent control. :(

I bet it's a combo of pests and that fucking pine bark i was stupid enough to add. I feed with PH 7-7.5 to counter the sour soil.

Jimdamick: Agree! Could it be K-toxicity? Actually hit her with more K then N with my retard-fix.

The roots mostly look semi-bad on all my plants, the cutlings rot before or even after developing their first roots. This plant had decent roots, some thin yellowish but also some really thick white ones sticking through at the bottom.

Tekdc911: Brown. :D

Edit: I do have a confirmed case of Gnats, clear larvas and many ugly flies caught... Flushed every pot with hydrogen peroxide, now i just wait i guess...
I did take her out of the pot, replaced like 20% of the soil (the rest was caught in the root system) and shes in the biggest pot i own atm.

Edit2: Lowryder #2 = Santa maria x Lowryder. :P

i would also look into a manganese issue if i remember right it slows growth to a creep
and not to rub salt in wounds but this plant for example was about half way through flower in a 3.5 gal at around 65-70 days 2013-09-18 08.03.25.jpg
so you definitely are having a vigor issue
and you very well could be locking out nutes if your PH isnt in check did you use dolomite lime in your mix when you prepared it ?

I sure do mate!
Probably, no one have done as much work as i have, with like 40g product in 7 months... :D

Thing is, i've only used CFL up untill a couple of weeks ago. The UFO is new and was my hope when it comes to support this dying decently sized lady. :(

Also, i guess growing with gnats and pear-bugs slow shit down.

I did not use it since i originally had problems with high PH in my soil, since i feed with bone meal. Now i use leaftree ashes to rise PH.
