ive found electric tape does the trick to hold splits and breaks up and work as a temporary bandaid. but u dnt want it on there too long, I'd sat 2 weeks tops, bc water cant seep down and get trapped causing stem mold. what also works good is plastic coated wire, they make garden wire, as well, same thing pretty much. might just be cheaper to go to a hardware store and get a length of wire there, and they have a different range of diameters so in case u need to support a heavier branch. other things work as well, just use ur head, you'll figure it out

my girls are in the ground. first grow. did not prune or train but I did fim and top. result huge monster plant. branches breaking and now trunk is completely split and shattered. I've only used a single metal stake and some string and have done what I could to patch it back. but with the wind and rain, the poor thing creaks and moans but the leaves and colas are still alive and kicking. I had to make a decision and decided to pull a percentage now as insurance against any problem, and am letting the rest continue to ripen on a day to day basis. I would like to take it to the limit if I can, prolly for another two or three weeks maybe. I learned a lot, it was a lot of fun and I can see what a terrific hobby it could be for growers.
