Nice... Well while you might be upgrading my wife let it be known today that she wants me to start downsizing... I need to start producing some results fast or I may have to pull the plug sooner than I hoped.
Here's what I found and you can take it for whatever it's worth. Instead of spacing your plants apart timewise as you have your setup now, throw 3 in at a time every 3 weeks. You'll then harvest 3 plants every 3 weeks or so depending on strain and you'll pull good enough numbers to get the results you need to keep your shit going. Only pulling one at a time every so often leaves you with having a little bud here and a little there. Harvesting 3 plants (from clones) at once that were vegged 4-5 weeks should net you at least 4oz every 3 weeks. I have a feeling though that if you got into that habit you'd end up pulling more like 6-8oz at every harvest of high quality bud. If that's not enough to keep your lady happy, I don't know what else to say. Do some quick math on those numbers and I bet you'll see it's more than enough. I only veg my clones 4 weeks tops or they get too big for my taste.

DEZ - I'm telling you - I love your screen..... wish I had a grow room to build one in -- instead of the tents with a garden trellis for a screen. Looks great.
You keep saying that but after seeing your stuff I have to tell you, I don't understand. Your grow is coming along so well that it's almost hard to believe. You're kicking some serious ass over there at your place. Thank you for the compliment though, you're 1st class all the way.

beautiful dez & baja fox i feel for you been there myself & not long ago 1 good harvest cures all that good luck
Thanks for the props Herk and I have to agree with your statement. Baja has the skills judging from the cured bud I saw at his place and what I vaped last night and he definitely has the equipment (nice setup Bajafox). I think it's just a timing thing and I did the exact same thing for a few months. I've only just recently broken the cycle and started getting the results he's looking for. He's got some really great bud all cured up and the only problem is there's just not a whole lot of it. I really think if the tent was massaged a bit there could be 3 plants added that are much larger than the ones in there and there'd be zips abound in a couple months.

I think what's in there could all stay too so there'd be no loss of plants in order to make it work.

oh yeah DEZ - you say that now - but when harvest comes and we see my yield... then we'll see just how much ass I'm kicking.... I'm so uncertain.

Haha.....you'll be just fine Kiki. How many are you pulling out for the first harvest? The one that you mentioned coming in 2 weeks or so.

I have 7, 8, 9 and 12 week strains..... 9 plants total in the 4x8 right now.... my queen is the 7 weeker... she will be done in 13 days.... and then the rest will follow behind her. I'm just trying every strain that I was interested in, and then I'm going to stick with one that I decide on.

That is exactly what I am planning to do. The problem was that it took me close to 9 months to narrow it down to the 4 strains I plan to keep. Now I need to clone them, veg them and start throwing them in there three at at time, just like you said. I'm planning to run two 8 week plants and two 9 weeks plants soon. I couldn't get started on that until I unloaded some clones. I have 3 plants ready to go on the 4th, my Delilah, Afghan Kush Special #2 and Power Skunk #2. There are 3 others that should be done by the 19th of next month. I need to figure out which 3 I'm going to put in. Slowly but surely it will even itself out and hopefully like you said, I will be harvesting 3 plants every 3 weeks.

It's going to take another 2 months or so for everything to settle down and get into a rhythm, once it starts working and my wife see's results, I don't think she will tell me to stop any time soon :D

yeyeyeyeyeah sounds good. It's that downtime in between knowing how you want to change it and seeing the results of you efforts after changing that kiils. It is for me at least. The wifey was all over me for a bit until I reminded her that it was her suggestion that I take up dude on his offer. She still asks me all the time when things will be flowing but that's all.

Their patience is much less than ours... I have 6 plants coming down by the end of February, I plan to properly dry and cure the majority of it and get it ready for March, when 4 more come down. By April I should be in a nice little rhythm with constant harvests and cured buds being ready almost weekly :weed:

I just need to buy me a few more months and all her worries will disappear

Yeah you can't really move them once they're trained to the screen (net). Unless of course, you screen the plants individually like Las Fingerez. It works really well too if you're limited on vertical space or if you want to grow a tall strain without them getting out of hand.

easy mate just reading through ur thread *blushing* :)

it just come to me so not sure how it works, more thinking out loud as i type lol. how about a screen at a 45 degree angle or more for ur vert setup? i think it was jig who done the vert scrog? kinda combination of the 2? also the cheesy carpet idea of dst's would work if it was practical in ur room :) i'm taking u know what i mean by the cheesy carpet?

anyways hope ur good mate :)

Things are good right now. The only exception to that would be that my screen fell on the plants in the 4x4 tent and damaged a few prety bad. I fixed what I could but there's going to be some loss. I didn't know about it until today when I went over to pick something up. I decided to poke my head in to check on the kids and saw the screen resting on a few plants down by the top of the pot. There's 8 plants in there so I think everything will still fill out without issue.

I've thought about doing that exact thing you mentioned (angled screen) a few times over the last week or so. Jig puts a screen behind his plants, attached to the wall. Then he ties the plants to the screen as they grow to keep them from going towards the light so much. He's a clever one...
I do know about the cheesy carpet, lol. I bet that would work in my room without modifying it at all too.
