Did I just go overboard???

Ok so I've got a 2X2X5 grow tent and I got a 6 inch 240cfm booster fan...

Did I just completely screw this up? I'm thinking it's going to be way overkill for the space I have...is there anything I can do to reduce it or is that even necessary?

If I use a long duct will that reduce it to a reasonable level? Thanks for all the help and tips.

Also does it matter if the fan and scrubber are inside or outside the tent?

as long as you have the proper sized scrubber you will be fine, yah your air will be moveing fast in and out of the tent. but it will be fine. you wont have heat problems thats for sure.

Airflow is a good thing. U can have your scrubber outside no problem.

youll be fine man i got a the same exhaust fan cooling a 400w hps, and i got a 8 inch 500cfm intake.... temps steady at 77 so im straightttttttttt so i think u will be too, just dont have a smaller intake

Nah man that's fine, and actually when you get to flower later you'll be glad you did when you start needing that scrubber for real. Put the scrubber on the inside, easier for the fan to pull vs push? That's just what ive heard.

getting a larger air scrubber from the start will save you possible money in the future i bought the 330 6" or something like that 4 years ago the guy at the grow store took advantage of my inexperience soaked me for $500 but the jokes on him because had he sold me the proper sized one i would of needed a new one when i upped my grow. Now i have 2 4X4X6 tents hooked up to it and two 115 cfm intake fans and they still look like they are vacuum sealed. also like grandpa 1949 said your not gonna have heat issues that's for sure
