butter..i'm learning, i was thinking digital meaning clock-timer..my bad..i'm getting it together....just like nodes...i'm still stuck on what people are talking about when they mention them in reference to aero systems..I mean nutes..but I think they are just nutrients you put in....

thair is a thread at the top of the newbie page with all the slang and defanitions... with your digital ballast you will be able to use hps or mh without getting a sperate ballast or special bulb

Hey butter what size HPS are you running? I was thinking of going with a 600w since it's only about $20 more than a 400w, but the digital ballasts I looked at (Lumitek was one) said they only do HPS with the 600w models. I guess a conversion bulb would take care of that.

I think the 1000w would be a little overkill at this point, Heat and electrical cost are the biggest obstacles with the 1000w right now. The 400w might be a little small. I'm not sure how big my grow room will be. I know where it will be and I have most of the equipment already. Probably looking at 5x5 or 6x6 7 foot high, the room will be bigger than the grow area so I have some room to move around. Waiting for my electrical service to be upgraded and I don't want someone wondering what I'll be doing.

Are the digital much better than the magnetic? Thanks.
