Dimlux CMH

Does anyone know if the new DE 630 ceramics works with the Dimlux fixture? I'm currently running 5 lights with 2 SE 315 bulbs in them. The results are amazing but I imagine the DE ceramics would be even better.

Isn't growers choice the only ones making a DE cmh right now?
D'oh, you are correct! I'm not sure about the Dimlux fixture though. The site says to use it in a 1000w high-frequency ballast that's dimmed down to 600w.

The Dimlux (if it's the one I am thinking of is a 630w fixture, but it's really 2x315w: http://www.dimluxlighting.com/dimlux-630-cmh.html

I would probably stick with what you're doing, the results you're getting wouldn't be improved TOO much if you're already on 2x315 ceramic metal halide lights.

I just wanted to make sure the info stays correct, clear, and relevant is all. And to my knowledge at the moment the only true 630 DE is the growers choice bulbs, and the rest of the 630's on the market just run (2) separate 315 cmh bulbs in one fixture............

Philips FTW. Makes sense since they effectively invented it
I agree. But they have the resources behind them that allows them to keep pushing forward.

I have a feeling at some point in the distant future the COB/LED technology and the Ceramics will somehow be integrated to provide us all with some killer lighting for our grows. I am a fan of both now

I only use philips. I've got 5 fixtures each running 2 of the 3k bulbs. Getting 2 lbs a light on them. I'm 3 weeks in right now and they are just turning pinks and purples and bulking up nice.
Awesome pulls per light and that bud looks gorgeous. Good job :hump:

I also foresee COBs and ceramics integrating somehow for optimal spectrum and penetration. After I get some extra cash I was already planning on putting up supplemental LEDs anyway.
