I just wanted to let anyone interested in knowing that Dinafem's Critical + is really good stuff...has some really nice fruity undertones and I just generally like it.

harvesting my c + as we speak! I did a quick dry on some lower buds and got totally blown away. Smooth and fruity and powerful. Very impressed for a quick dry no cure

Nice to hear. I have 5 beans in storage for later.

I may have to pot one sooner than planed now. lol

Can you post some photos of dried buds and say something about your yield and technique of growing?
Cheers

I pulled 3 o's off one. 30 days of veg, 60 of flower. Righteous smoke. Not the strongest, but smells and tastes great. Like oranges or something with a bit of funk on the exhale. Came out pretty dense under my 400W. Check out my thread in the harvesting forum.

Here's a few pics.

nice dude! I vegged the same as you but I'm pulling more like 1.5zips a plant with huge dense nugs. I had 32 plants in a 8x4 area under 3 600 watt econo wings. I recently got an adjustawing for my veg table and noticed how much better it is able to distribute the light, adjustawings from now on.

Well I harvested 3.5 oz. I used a little LST, in FFOF and a little Roots Organic soil...I have a 400w light...I trained mine to have 4 main colas, they were fed both organically and non...I also used a little synthetic Sweet by Botanicare...the botanicare I have is supposed to be a mix of organics and synthetics. It is nice smoke without a cure, nothing like what dinafem describes it to be...It wasn't terribly smelly during flower, and it didn't finish quite as early as they thought it would. I like it though. So some feedings they got the botanicare and some they got General Organics...I think I vegged for 3 weeks or so to begin with...and mine was from a fem seed. And to tell the truth I haven't ever gotten a poor pheno seed from fem seed, simply because a fem seed is much like a clone of the original plant...it is only that plant's own DNA getting passed on, so no room for variation..no company is going to go through the trouble of making fem seeds from a crap mom..so it is kinda like the pheno hunt is already done for you. So, I like Fem seeds for that reason...I am against Fem Seeds for this reason>>> the only way I can keep a strain going to is to keep it alive...I have to have at least one of every strain alive or I lose them and would have to buy more seeds...which doesn't make sens when I can make clones for free...Anyway I have started getting reg seeds that way the first run I always ome for at least 2 females...that way I can have some smoke, and make some seeds...lol. I can choose which strain I want to grow without having to keep them all going at once...
anyway none of that has to do with the awesomeness of Critical+...It is also a very pretty plant...

I'll disagree on that one, I just flowered a bunch of c+ and Cheese from dinafem and about 75% of the plants are the same. I also had 1 each of cheese and c+ that was a super low yielder but produced so many crystals it looked silver. for the most part they are the same but not totally, you would still want to grow at least 6-8 plants out to pick a mother with the exact traits you want for future clones.

Hmmm...well I guess I am wrong then, or would you say that both phenos are keepers in their own right?
I just figure fem seeds have had someone else pick a keeper plant out of the reg seeds and then make fem seeds with the keeper pheno they found...or rather I have gotten keeper plants numerous times with only one fem seed...Then again if I haven't run the reg seeds I don't know if I got a keeper or not do I? All I know is I haven't yet gotten a plant that should just be thrown out the way you sometimes will with reg seeds...lol.

your very correct on that, IME fem seeds always give you keepers. besides the high thc low yielding plant they were all keepers just slight variations in colors or some finish a few days earlier than others. I couldn't say the low yield plant is a keeper because it only pumped out about 1/2oz compared to the others at 1.5oz(the plants were crammed 1 next to another). But I bet it will be super bud though, just not economical due to yield. Oh yeah the bud to leaf ratio on the critical + is awesome! It's fun to trim this strain, not tedious work like other strains out there.

Hell yeah it is! All my other ones I am bored and my scissor arm is tired at the end...the Critical + I just feel like I could do it all day...lol.

Smoking a nicely cured bongload of it right now. Patients loved it. Sold out the first weekend. Only kept a half for myself.. may pop my last C+ bean for personal smoke next year.

It is really really nice, but nothing at all like what the description makes it sound...I think I took mine just a tiny bit early, but it was still 10 days later than they recommended...totally worth it...growing some more now...

I'm still harvesting my c+. basically cutting the big buds off and letting the lower growth bulk up a bit, should be done by the end of this week.

I cut all mine at once, probably about a week early...freaking another plant fell over and hit it in just a way that it like ripped all the roots except for I guess the tap root and a few teeny tiny top of the soil roots...so I left if hoping that maybe it could manage with most of it's root mass not properly attached, but it couldn't...there was too much plant there...so I took it while the taking was good...left it for a few days but it got a little wiltier and sad looking everyday...then the popcorn buds I had trimmed off a week or so prior got dry enough to try out...and I was then fine with taking it the next day, because if that little bud was that it tasted like a week ago then I will be more than happy with what is there now...so out she came...lol. Build a small wall around the next one so I can let it finish...Na

I trim off my popcorn buds around 6 or 7 weeks...just so I don't have to trim them later, and cuz I am too excited to ever wait, so I use the fact that if I leave them they will never be big enough to wow about, but if I take them off the other larger nugs might get large enough to wow me...lol. So Either way they never make it to the end to bulk up....I have super cropped plants really late in flower and the lower growth did not get at all bigger, even though it was now totally open to the light...the main colas continued to bulk up still more than the buds on the nodes directly under the light...I mean right there under it...they continued being underlings to the mega top buds...that were now no longer on top...then again I guess super cropping leaves the plant the option to keep filling the colas moreso than just cutting the colas off and leaving the underbuds would...ya know what. Thanks, since I don't run out of smoke anymore, and have nothing new to me growing I should be able to leave the underbuds there...then I will take the tops and leave the bottoms and we'll see how much of a difference there really is...remind me I said this in 5 weeks..imma make a note... >>>Do not cut off and quick dry bottom buds...wait for tops to finish and then cut them off and leave underbuds a chance in the spotlight...lol.. Limelight?---HPS light...hahahahahaha
Sorry...told ya the Critical + was Aaaaaaaawwwwweeeeee (sung in high pitched opera voice)---some...

yeah for sure... i got mine with that freebie match deal. i bought the OG and some Blue Widow, and Blue hash. and i got the criticals free with the og i got. I did grow one of each of the OG and the Critical. they both are at 7.5 weeks flowering, and i can tell that the OG is gonna take a couple weeks longer to flower that the Critical. The critical has been the star of the bunch too! i have a barneys vanilla kush in between them, same age, and it is sad compared to the other two. The OG is nice, but the Critical is just better. The critical has WONDERFUL aromas of fresh citrus, and SKUNK!! if u plan on growing a bunch of these you might wanna consider some odor control!
