Dinafem Roadrunner Grow/Smoke review

I got a free feminized seed of this when ordering others. It was 1 of 4 plants under a 400w HPS.

Growth: Took off fast, and leveled off at about a foot and a half. Big Main cola, but several other branches with modest bud action on them. Deff a nice looking plant

Maturity: 8 weeks from seed. I picked when 25% of trics were clear, 25% amber, and 50% cloudy

Yield: 24g dry. Would have been more, but for much of the plants life the lighting was only 12/12 for my real plants. I could easily see this baby hitting 2 oz if you cater the lighting towards it.

Smell: (8/10) Exactly like grapefruit. After being cured, it retained the grapefruit but with mixed pineapple and lemon smells.

Taste: (7/10) I flushed it and cured it well, so the smoke is really smooth. Has a light flavor out of a blunt, but you can take huge hits and it feels like hookah smoke... no harshness. Out of glass it really takes on a citrus flavor. Flavor sticks on the pallet long after hit.

Buzz: (8/10): I was skeptical at first bc other reviews I have read seem to say this lacks potency. I strongly disagree. It is a great head high that lasts for about 2 hours, with an easy return to sobriety, instread of burnout. The high is cerebral, and give me energy, I never want to just sit around and be a high looser on this bud. Last time i smoked it I went for a great adventure lol. great smoke.

Bag Appeal: Def loose, and airy. During curing I gently shaped the buds to look more dense, and now they look amazing in bags. A gram is hefty, crystally, and smells like the dankness.

end opinion: not bad for a free seed lol. Im going to rename it something to do with grapefruit though, bc "roadrunner" doesnt seem to have the ring or appeal that this bud deserves. Would recommend it, would probly be great for an outdoor grow if available.

Good info here - am currently growing a roadrunner myself, it's at around 2 weeks. Been looking all through this forum for other growers experiences with it

Thanks for the report on this strain. I tried to grow out one of these too, but mine turned out to be a male. So I would add that Dinafem's feminized seeds are not totally stable. Anybody else run get any males or hermies out of those seeds?

What do you think the ideal lighting for this would be? The attitude site does not say. I was thinking 20/4 the whole time (only because that's what it said for the auto flowering easyryders I ordered).

I would say you would be fine doing just 18/6. Deff dont go 12/12 like I did or your yeilds will suffer.

btw... the other freebie I got was a dinafem auto haze... not so muchh. It was planted the same day as the RR and cut down a week later... yeildingonly 12gs and not as dank... although it looks a little nicer
