Another Obama administration promise!!! Thanks Obama, glad your gone
It was a deal not a promise. Its a deal, i, as an Australian was not comfortable with. (and still not) But perhaps you should investigate what you were receiving in return before makin stupid ill informed comments..like so many scared, war mongering racists, trump supporters have been doing.

Id rather the refugees settle in Australia But it would take a change of Govt here to make that happen.

You know, refugees who resettle in New countries and their children tend to do very well, even in comparison with families who have been here for generations.

One would think that would make them attractive prospects for your country. It even worked for America. Sad to see so many here who are so afraid of a few people from somewhere else that they try to stop them from coming at all.

100% agree. Its sad that the most succesful multi culteral country on Earth (australia) has gone this way. Due to a conservative govt spreading fear in the community. A govt that is way behind in the polls and will not win the next election. (just scrapped thu the last one by a pubic hair)

Fuck you. If you don't like how they're treated, then step up to the plate. We promised to do just that and yet you say it's okay to go back on our promise to take them.

Can't have it both ways, you racist isolationist.
Most have been in Australia's care two years and have received only necesssry treatment. The PM and that nation have had ample time and resource to provide "care" for the refugees and haven't. That needs to happen now. That's the first priority.

Do you have an opinion on refugee care in Australia?
I think the protest rallies are beginning to get to you guys. Lol.

Did you really believe a hate monger and the head of Breitbart would be welcomed with open arms in 2017 America? They got lucky with the election.

And their luck streak ended right fucking there.

Sorry Charlie, resistance is strong. It won't be a happy regime.

It may take a change of govt here too. What were we receiving in return?

They are givin care and shelter, healthcare etc. In fact they are pobebly better off than from were they come. However as i stated we (Australia) should just take them in.

I have already stated my views, in a rational and social way.

Idk about welcomed. Breitbart, Coulter, Trump, Conway. You didn't welcome them. Nor did the news. Enough citizens heard what they were saying.
I don't downplay disregard the resistance, it is strong.

Deplorable?
Depends on your deffintion.

They have shelter, schools, food and healthcare in a nice climate..ideal? No. Must be like being locked up in a 3 star hotel...Deplorable? I dont think so.

I dont agree with the refugee policy, so maybe save your bleeding heart for someone who agrees with the refugee policy. (Hint: thats not me.)

Cmon Down Under, the bar's so low it's not even on the uprights. Care for the refugees now.

"But the policy has led to regular reports of human rights abuses, many of them documented in the Guardian’s publication of the Nauru files, and is bitterly condemned by refugees advocate."

"The Manus detention centre had been declared illegal by the PNG supreme court, and Australia was under pressure over allegations on Nauru of sexual abuse on women and children, assaults of children, rape, widespread mental harm and epidemic rates of self-harm and suicide attempts."

Turnbull Govt. won't even contemplate accepting the refugees. Land of Oz.
