Directive 51 ... Worried?

A poster in another thread mentioned directive 51 ... for those of you that don't know about it ... I have some links ... one it from the horse's mouth ... the government site ... another is a cool video with cool music telling what the deal is ...

defines a "catastrophic emergency" as "any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government function"

This could mean another 9/11, or another Katrina, or a major earthquake in California, I imagine, since it says it would include "localized acts of nature, accidents, and technological or attack-related emergencies.":o

we will do what we have always done, live our life of quiet anarchy and laugh at the insanity of the world around us. we laugh at the left for thinking they can right all wrongs with enough control, we laugh at the right for believing that change is to be avoided at all costs, we laugh at the face of god. we have been at war with these fools for so long that it has become a way of life and we know no other. we lead by example for those who wish to follow and our freedom is paramount. we are well armed and believe death preferable to slavery, but we find no common cause with those who wish only to hate and the hatred is evident all around us.

I don't know why Bush did this when there was already laws on the books that would let him do the exact same thing.
In case of national emergency Maritime Law kicks in.
It states in that law that if a national emergency is declared that martial law is enacted and the president in essence is de facto dictator for the duration. Directive 51, only reinforces that law.

since this guy stole office in 2000 i have been saying that he is not going to give it up. i think 51 made it so an economic 9/11 would be enough to trigger, but it was some time ago when i read it and im not 100%. reality is the usa has been a minimum security prison since 1913 and the prisoners have been pretty slow to realize it, a bit like the matrix. now it may turn into the meatrix though, soylent green anyone?

Best part is I've got weapons that can blow through armor, and they're 100% silent. The military only wishes they were half as intelligent as I.

yeah, I for sure think this is a bunch of bullshit. If a democracy comes to the point of needing a dictator, then something in the democracy needs to change.

I'm telling ya ... and if there isn't a 10 point spread or more between McSame and Obama ... they're going to steal it again. Either way ... no matter who wins ... we the people are screwed ... :wall:
