Discontinue Watering

What would happen if to dry a plant I just stopped watering it till it went dry?

That's pretty much how you're supposed to water. Wait until it's dry then water...

Are you referring to the final phase prior to harvest? If so, I wouldn't do it this way. I cut the long stems off of the stalk, hang, and dry.
I do not know of any disadvantages to doing the way you referenced to, but I think that it would take a lot longer to dry, thus inviting pests and mold.

Wow...I misread it I think. If you did it that way your plant would continue maturing.

It will degrade. Wait until she is done and cut and trim the same day, which is what I do. You won't want to trim a wilted plant, that much I can tell you. Peace

i forgot about a plant in the woods once.. it dried wayy out over the period of a week.. was the smoothest tastiest plant to date. that's why i dry mine completely attached and just let them wilt on their own it takes MUCH longer but the taste and smell is insane.

I agree with you but the trimming would be a hassle.

I have heard accounts of this before, I personally do DWC so I'm not sure if it would work and I'm commercial so not willing to risk it, but it's worth some experimentation, based on the scattered claims I've been party to. Give it a go and let us know!
